ISOCSEA 2026: International Science Olympiad Competition of Southeast Asia

The International Science Olympiad Competition of Southeast Asia (ISOCSEA) 2026 is a prestigious international science competition designed to encourage young learners to excel in scientific knowledge and reasoning through friendly global competition.

ISOCSEA provides students from different countries an opportunity to compete internationally while promoting scientific learning and cultural exchange across Southeast Asia and beyond.


 What is ISOCSEA?

The International Science Olympiad Competition of Southeast Asia (ISOCSEA) is an international science competition open to:

  • Kindergarten students
  • Primary school students
  • Secondary school students

The Olympiad focuses on major science disciplines, including:

  • Biology
  • Chemistry
  • Physics
  • Environmental Science
  • Earth Science
  • Space Science
  • Astronomy

The competition aims to strengthen students’ understanding of science concepts while developing critical thinking and scientific reasoning skills.


Organization Behind ISOCSEA

ISOCSEA is organized by GLOBAL LEAGUE OF WINNERS, INC. (GLOW), a registered non-stock, non-profit organization based in Cebu City, Philippines.

The Olympiad is promoted internationally through:

  • Educational ambassadors
  • Partner organizations
  • Schools and academic institutions worldwide

ISOCSEA also promotes Southeast Asian tourism and educational collaboration among participating countries.


Eligibility Criteria

ISOCSEA 2026 is open to:

  • Kindergarten students
  • Grades 1 to 6 (Primary School)
  • Grades 7 to 12 (Secondary School)

No Prerequisite Required

Students from all academic backgrounds can participate, making the Olympiad accessible to every science enthusiast.


Exam Pattern

The examination is designed to assess both scientific knowledge and application-based problem-solving skills.

Total Questions

  • 25 Questions

Multiple Choice Questions

  • 20 Questions
  • 4 points for each correct answer

Short Answer Questions

  • 5 Questions
  • 6 points for each correct answer

Total Marks

  • 100 Points

Negative Marking

  • No negative marking
  • No deduction for incorrect answers

Test Duration

  • 75 Minutes

The competition encourages logical analysis, observation, reasoning, and scientific application.


National Round Awards

The National Round is conducted locally in each participating country.

The Top 60% of participants qualify for the International Round and receive awards based on their scores.

 Diamond Medal & Certificate

  • Score: 96–100 points

  • Score: 81–95 points

๏ฅˆ Silver Medal & Certificate

  • Score: 66–80 points

๏ฅ‰ Bronze Medal & Certificate

  • Remaining participants within the qualifying category
