Eligibility Criteria

IMOCSEA 2026 is open to:

  • Kindergarten students
  • Grades 1 to 6 (Primary School)
  • Grades 7 to 12 (Secondary School)

No Prerequisite Required

Students can participate regardless of prior Olympiad experience, making the competition accessible to all interested learners.


Exam Pattern

The exam is designed to evaluate both conceptual understanding and problem-solving ability.

Total Questions

  • 28 Questions

Multiple Choice Questions

  • 20 Questions
  • 3 points for each correct answer

Short Answer Questions

  • 8 Questions
  • 5 points for each correct answer

Total Marks

  • 100 Points

Negative Marking

  • No negative marking
  • No deduction for incorrect answers

Test Duration

  • 90 Minutes

The paper encourages logical reasoning, analytical thinking, and mathematical creativity.


National Round Awards

The National Round is conducted locally within each participating country.

The Top 60% of participants qualify for the International Round and receive awards based on their scores.
