Any person with a 3-year, or 5-year law degree at the undergraduate level can submit an essay.

5000 words (exclusive of footnotes).

Formatting Guidelines
Font Type: Times New Roman
Font Size: 16 (Heading), 14 (Sub-Heading), 12 (Body), 10 (Footnotes)
Line Spacing: 1.5
Page Margin: Default (2.54 cm on all sides)
Headings should be in upper case, bold and underlined.
Subheadings should be in bold.
Every page must have a page number at the bottom.
Pages must not have borders.

Submitting Guidelines
All submissions are to be made in .docx format.
All registrations are to be done at the Registration Portal. Please keep the screenshot of the receipt of the registration fee handy (Rs. 500/- for single-authored submissions and Rs. 700/- for co-authored submissions).

The National Law School of India University, Bengaluru, invites entries for the 27แต—สฐ Annual H.M. Seervai Essay Competition in Constitutional Law. Participants in this pan-India essay competition stand a chance to win the prestigious H.M. Seervai Gold Medal from NLSIU. The winning essay will be published in the National Law School Journal.


About the competition
In 1997, Senior Advocate Navroz Seervai instituted a Gold Medal in the name of the distinguished jurist, the late H.M. Seervai, for the best original essay written on the themes specified in Indian Constitutional Law. Over the years, this essay writing competition has become a prestigious event for law students all over India. The significant rise every year in the number of contributions from the student community shows their mark of respect and tribute to one of the greatest legal luminaries of our country, Hormasji Maneckji Seervai.

The last gold medal was awarded to Aachman Shekar, NALSAR University of Law for his essay on ‘The 50% Reservation Ceiling: Protecting or Hindering Equality?’ Read the winning essay here.

Eligibility
Students currently enrolled in an LL.B. / B.A., LL.B. / BBA, LL.B./B.Com., LL.B. regular mode programme in any recognised Law School / College / University in India may make a submission.

Submission guidelines
Each entry should be an original, unpublished, single-authored essay in English.
Every essay must clear anti-plagiarism checks & be supported by a bonafide certificate, duly signed by the Registrar / Vice-Chancellor or other Appropriate Authority.
Entries should be formatted in Times New Roman, size 12 font, double-spaced on an A4 sheet, & carefully referenced using the OSCOLA citation style.

National Level Essay Writing Competition on Contemporary Issues in Corporate Insolvency Laws


Centre for Corporate Law Studies, Institute of Law, Nirma University has collaborated with Insolvency and Bankruptcy Board of India (IBBI) for organizing a National Level Essay Writing Competition on Contemporary Issues in Corporate Insolvency Laws. 

Participation in the said competition is open for all students pursuing Undergraduate and Postgraduate Studies in Law, Commerce, Business Administration, Management, Professionals (CS, CMA & CA) and to all other areas covering and touching upon the subject of Insolvency and Bankruptcy. 

 The submission guidelines are as follows: 

Submissions shall be made to centre.corporateresearch@nirmauni.ac.in before 23:59 hrs, 25th February, 2021. 
Submissions shall be accompanied by a covering letter which shall not fail to include the Name of the Author, Name of the Author’s Institution, and Author’s Email Address and Contact Number. The manuscript itself shall not contain any information or indication that may be helpful in identifying the author.
The length of the manuscript shall not be less than 2500 words and shall not exceed 4000 words.
The manuscript shall possess font in Times New Roman, with justified alignment, font size 12 and line spacing 1.5. 
The submission of the manuscript attached in the mail shall be in MS Word format compatible with MS Word 2007 and above. 
The manuscript containing the submission shall be original, unpublished and must not fail to contain a bibliography. 
Co-authorship up to two authors is permitted.
