The department offers summer internship program between May - July every year. The internship programs are typically for 8 weeks.

Eligibility
The candidates from EE, ECE and EI background, and who are currently in 3rd year of their program are eligible to apply. Exceptional candidates in the 2nd year of BTech program, and 4/5th year of reputed Integrated MSc programs are also eligible to apply.

Commencement of internship
May 15th 2019. Selected candidates are expected to report at IITH on the reporting date with necessary documents. We may tolerate a delay of 2-3 days for exceptional reasons such as exams, if communicated well in advance.

Internship Duration
The selected candidates must spend atleast 2 months at IIT Hyderabad to receive a certificate.

Stipend
Some students may be offered a stipend depending of project funds available with respective faculty members. This will be communicated to you at the time of selection. If you are interested in self-supporting your internship please indicate so in the application. The typical cost of self-supporting yourself (meals and hostel accomodation) for 8 weeks is about Rs. 12000/-.

Summer Internship opportunities at IIT Kharagpur

Every year the Department of Computer Science, IIT Kharagpur hosts a huge number of excellent quality interns during the summer (typically June/July). The interns are independently shortlisted by either one or a group of faculties. During their stay at IIT Kharagpur they are exposed to cutting edge research problems and trained in world-class technologies required to execute such projects. Many of these works finally metamorphose into high quality publications.

Once a student is offered an internship position by some faculty, the student becomes eligible for applying for a stipend that is graciously sponsored by Microsoft Research India. Every year as many as 40 students are awarded with this stipend.

Applications for the year 2019 are invited for Summer Internships.
