Kids 4 Human Rights International Drawing Contest 2023

The United Nations Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights has teamed up with Spanish artist Cristobal Gabarron and the Gabarron Foundation to launch an international drawing contest urging young people to reflect on the importance of human rights.


Who can Participate?
If you are between 10 and 14 years old, express yourself by taking part in this global art competition to celebrate the 75th anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights

Submit your drawings
 
Two options for submitting your drawings:

1) You can upload to the website in the form (link given below) (recommended)

2) You can email to kids4humanrights@gabarron.org with the release form indicating your name, age, and address.

If you are selected among the finalists, you will be invited to send your original drawing by post to the Gabarron Foundation.

Better Photography - Weekly Photography Contest




In India, each neighbourhood has a distinct aesthetic—a certain tone, energy, a way of living, or sometimes, even silence. These pockets are melting pots of culture, hidden in homogenous metropolitan cities. For this week's contest, Better Photography would like you to bring such one-of-a-kind cultures and communities to light.


GENERAL RULES (SUMMARY):
1. You can submit multiple photos in any contest. However, photos need to be uploaded only one at a time.
2. Photos submitted must be at least 640 pixels on the shorter side, and no more than 2000 pixels on the longer side. Images should be no larger than 2MB. Photos must be in JPEG format The file size should not exceed 2 MB.
4. For each photo, specifying a caption is mandatory.
5. Once uploaded, photos/details can be deleted, altered, or changed only before the contest closing date.
6. Uploaded photos will be displayed on the site only after moderation.
7. A photograph that has won the 1st, 2nd, or 3rd prize in a Better Photography contest cannot be entered again in another Better Photography contest for 6 months after winning.

The Lions Club of Seregno AID Ets based in Seregno (MB) in collaboration with UN Water (Coordinating the UN’s work on water and sanitation), together with Lions Acqua per la vita MD108, the patronage of the European Community, the Province of Monza Brianza, the Municipalities of Seregno, Barlassina, Cesano Maderno, Seveso and Gruppo Solidarietร  Africa, in the occasion of the 2023 World Water Day is organizing the seventh edition of the “World Water Day Photo Contest” #WWDPHC to draw public attention to the critical issue of water in our times, with special focus on access to good water.

The proceeds of the competition will be devolved for co-financing international aid project in favour of communities in need of “Water for Life“.

BIEA 2023 International STEM Youth Innovation Competition


The BIEA STEM Star Awards is an accreditation programme from the British International Education Association, it’s designed to encourage student development in the STEM subjects. Students' achievements in the BIEA International STEM Youth Innovation Competition is assessed at silver level.

You can now register your interest in BIEA 2023 International STEM Youth Innovation Competition by filling the form online. The organisers will announce the competition theme in October/November. Details of the guidelines will be sent in January 2023.

The young people of today will live in the changing world of tomorrow. The world and humans need to adapt our ways of life so that the future is sustainable.

The BIEA 2022-23 Youth STEAM Competition gives young people, the adults of tomorrow, an opportunity to cast their minds into the future, and use creative foresight to help come up with ideas to ensure that humans of the future can live in harmony with the planet.

Cities have high densities of people living, working and travelling in one area, to the detriment of the natural world. In this year’s competition, we would like you to focus on a city close to where you live. Can we use innovative ideas and green technologies to ensure sustainable buildings, landscapes and transport in cities, so that humans and nature can co-exist in harmony? Can we develop a future where fossil fuels have become a thing of history, and only renewable energy sources and sustainable materials are used?

Competition Overview
Following last year's popular online format. This year’s competition will remain online to allow as many students from around the world to participate. Judging criteria remains rigorous with experts from industries and universities.

Suggested student age categories are: 9-11 years old, 12-14 years old, 15-17 years old and 18-21 years old, although siblings or students of different age categories can participate together. In these cases, we will take the eldest student’s age to use against the marking criteria.

Rewards for your hard work
The team with the highest overall score will receive a Grand-Prize (1000GBP worth of STEM Kit). Other awards teams will receive named certificates.

‘Saksham’ National Competition 2022 - Quiz Contest



Petroleum Conservation Research Association (PCRA), under the aegis of Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas, Govt. of India, is committed to make oil conservation a National Movement. As a part of its mandate, various literary and cultural events are conducted for school students. The Essay writing, Painting, and Quiz competitions aim to raise awareness among youth about practical conservation tips for the conservation of Petroleum products in industrial, transport, agriculture and domestic sector, and how to practice such tips in their daily lives. For effective communication, students may choose to present their ideas and messages for conserving petroleum products and reducing emission, in English, Hindi or Regional languages.
