The National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT), on behalf of the Ministry of Education (MoE), has announced the National Yoga Olympiad (NYO) 2026 , a nationwide initiative aimed at promoting yoga and healthy living among school students across India.

The National Yoga Olympiad was launched in 2016 as a follow-up to the celebration of the International Day of Yoga observed every year on June 21. Since its launch in 2004, the exhibition has reportedly welcomed more than 5.2 million visitors, while its educational programs have reached over 693,500 students.

Awards and Recognition

The competition offers a total of $6,000 in cash awards, distributed across three categories:

• Best-in-Show Adult: $2,000
• Best-in-Show Student: $2,000
• People’s Choice Award: $2,000

The People’s Choice Award will be determined through votes from exhibition visitors.

Submission Requirements

Before submitting, artists must ensure that their artwork follows specific technical guidelines:

• Artwork must be horizontal in orientation
• Recommended aspect ratio: 12.8 inches wide × 8.8 inches high
• Digital files must be at least 300 dpi
• File size must remain below 400 MB
• Each submission must include a short artist statement of up to 150 words
• Artwork titles must contain no more than five words
• The phrase “Embracing Our Differences” must not appear in the artwork or title

SOF NATIONAL SCIENCE OLYMPIAD (NSO)

The National Science Olympiad (SOF NSO), organized by SOF annually, assesses the natural aptitudes and science abilities of pupils ranging from the first to the 12th grade. The NEP aims to promote Olympiads as it facilitates the development of vital problem-solving, critical thinking, and reasoning capabilities among students. NSO is a two-level exam. Upon qualifying level 1, students have to attempt Level 2 exam to get merit rank and rewards.

SOF International Computer Science Olympiad(SOF ICSO)

The International Computer Science Olympiad (SOF ICSO) is an annual academic competition organized by SOF for students in classes 1-10 to assess their knowledge and skills in computers and information technology. The curriculum of the SOF Olympiad is designed to provide young students with a platform to identify and nurture their academic talents in the field of computers, preparing them for the competitive world from an early age. The International Mathematics Olympiad (SOF IMO) is an annual event conducted by the Science Olympiad Foundation (SOF) to evaluate the mathematical abilities of students from grades 1 to 12. The SOF Olympiad exposes students to a challenging curriculum, encouraging them to develop their creativity, logical reasoning, and critical thinking skills, while building their self-confidence in a competitive environment from an early age.
