The LIC Golden Jubilee Scholarship 2026-27 offers financial assistance to meritorious students from economically weaker sections who are pursuing higher education in India. The scholarship is offered by the LIC Golden Jubilee Foundation and covers students entering eligible degree, diploma, vocational and technical courses.
Applications for the 2026-27 scholarship are open until 30 September 2026.
About LIC Golden Jubilee Scholarship
The scholarship is intended to support students who need financial assistance to continue their education and improve their opportunities for higher studies and employment.
The scheme has two categories:
- General Scholarship: For students after Class 12 or Diploma
- Special Scholarship: For students after Class 10 who continue into higher, technical or vocational education
The scholarship is available to eligible students across India.
Eligibility Criteria
General Scholarship – After Class 12/Diploma
Applicants must:
- Have passed Class 12 or an equivalent examination with at least 60% marks or an equivalent CGPA.
- Have passed the examination in the academic years 2023-24, 2024-25 or 2025-26.
- Have taken admission in the 2026-27 academic year for the first year of an eligible course.
- Have parents/guardians whose annual income from all sources does not exceed ₹4,50,000.
Eligible courses include:
- MBBS, BAMS, BHMS and BDS
- BE, B.Tech and B.Arch
- Graduation in any discipline
- Integrated courses
- Diploma courses
- Vocational courses through government-recognised institutions
- Courses at eligible Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs)
Special Scholarship – After Class 10
Applicants must:
- Have passed Class 10 or an equivalent examination with at least 60% marks or equivalent CGPA.
- Have passed the examination in the academic years 2023-24, 2024-25 or 2025-26.
- Have taken admission in the 2026-27 academic year for the first year of Intermediate/10+2, vocational or diploma courses.
- Have parents/guardians with an annual income not exceeding ₹4,50,000.
The course or institution must meet the scheme's requirements, including government-recognised institutions and eligible ITIs.
