GLOBE Science & Environment Olympiad




GLOBE Science & Environment Olympiad is an initiative taken by Indian Environmental Society whose goal is to promote STEM education (science, technology, engineering and math). The Olympiad is designed to encourage students to explore, discover, and learn more about STEM education. The main aim of GLOBE Science & Environment Olympiad is to promote a career in STEM and to help all students reach higher level of achievement in “STEM education” and “STEM jobs”. It provides a great opportunity to compare educational methods and exchange experiences at international levels.

Children's Climate Prize 2022


The Children's Climate Prize is an international prize annually awarded to young people taking actions to bring sustainable solutions for our planet. The prize celebrates and shed light on young innovators, entrepreneurs, changemakers and conservators in order to spread hope and inspire others. The Children's Climate Foundation awards the prize annually, works for a long-term perspective and makes it possible for others to partner in the initiative. The winners of the Children's Climate Prize are celebrated at a gala event in Stockholm, Sweden. They receive a diploma, medal and prize money of SEK 100,000 to continue developing their projects. The Children's Climate Prize was founded in 2016 by Telge Energi, the Swedish frontrunner in renewable energy.

Registration process

∗ Students of Standards III to X studying in any accredited school in India (Any Board) will be eligible to participate. 

∗ The Olympiad will be held standard-wise. 

∗ A candidate can register for one, two or three attempts at taking the examination.

∗ Best score out of the three attempts will be considered for ranking the student.

Greenstorm Nature Photography Contest 2021


Greenstorm Foundation, in association with United Nations Environment Programme, is holding an online photography contest – Greenstorm Nature Photography Contest 2021 – in connection with World Environment Day. This is the 12th edition of the contest.

The contest will start on June 5, 2021, and will end on June 30, 2021. The theme of the contest is  Nature in the Neighbourhood. Participants may submit their best clicks along with a one-line caption before the last date.

Meme Contest on Valuing our Renewable and Natural Resources

On the occasion of World Environment Day- 5th June 2021, Central Pollution Control Board (MOEF&CC) in collaboration with MyGov is organizing and hosting an online ‘Meme Competition’.


The theme of the competition - “Valuing our Renewable and Natural Resources”

The participants can upload their memes based on the following sub-themes:
• Using our natural resources in a sustainable manner
• Use of renewable energy, energy-efficient techniques and methods, etc.

a. The meme should be in Hindi or English language based on the designated sub-themes and then uploaded.
b. Participants should upload the meme in JPEG / PNG / SVG format only
c. Participants should not imprint or watermark meme design.
d. The optimal size of the meme should be 1080 pixels wide by 566 pixels to 1350 pixels high.
e. The meme should be usable on the website/social media such as Twitter/Facebook and on printed material such as b/w press releases, stationery
and signage.
f. The selected top entries will be awarded Cash Prizes and will be featured on the website and social media platforms of CPCB.

Prizes
First Prize: Rs 2500/-
Second Prize: Rs 1500/-
Third Prize: Rs 1000/-
Participation certificate for 10 best entries.
