Axis Bank Splash 2025 is back with a national stage for young creators to showcase their imagination and talent. Designed exclusively for students aged 7 to 14, this prestigious competition has grown into the country’s largest school-level event for arts and literature.

Since 2013, Axis Bank Splash has empowered young minds by offering a platform where creativity meets recognition. What began as a small initiative has now become a movement, inspiring over ten lakh students every year to participate and express themselves through art, craft, and literature.

Categories You Can Participate In

Art

Express your imagination through paintings, drawings, and digital illustrations. Use colour, texture and technique to narrate your idea visually.

Literature

Share your thoughts, feelings and stories through essays, poems and creative writing. Let your words spark inspiration, humour or reflection.

Craft

Create beautiful handicrafts, sculptures, models and innovative designs showcasing skill, originality and creativity.

Participants may submit one entry per category, with only individual submissions allowed. Each submission must be an original work created by the student.

Oxford Brookes International Poetry Competition 2022



The Oxford Brookes Poetry Centre's International Poetry Competition celebrates the power of poetry across the world!

The competition is open annually to all poets aged 18 and over from across the globe and has two categories:  

Open category (open to all poets aged 18 years and over)
English as an Additional Language (EAL) category (open to all poets aged 18 and over who write in English as an Additional Language)
The winners of each category will receive £1000 and both runners up £200.

Education, Maulana Abul Kalam Azad (born on 11 November, 1888), the Central Board of
Secondary Education announces CBSE Expression Series on Maulana Abul Kalam Azad.
The details of this Expression Series are as follow:
i. To be held on 3 November 2015.
ii. The three categories of participation are:
a) Classes I to V, b) Classes VI to VIII and c) Classes IX to XII
iii. Topics are given in Annexure 1.

CBSE Expression Series 2015-16

CBSE Expression Series is a ‘Writing Series’ initiated by CBSE in August 2014 as part of various activities conducted by the Board for the holistic development of students. For the year 2015-16, the ‘CBSE Expression Series’ are beginning from July 2015 onwards. The ‘Expression Series’ shall focus not only on the contribution of great leaders of India but also on several important issues related to women, society (both rural and urban) and nation. The details of the ‘Expression Series’ are as follow:
 The Series will be conducted on the second Friday and Saturday of the month.
 Topics will be uploaded on www.cbseacademic.in on the second Wednesday of the month.
 Entries, in form of Essays and Poems, can be submitted by students through online and offline link
provided on www.cbseacademic.in or through mobile application.
 Students may submit their entries from schools as well as home.
 Entries can be submitted from 9.00 A.M. to 5.30P.M. on both the days.
 Students may express their thoughts and ideas in any of the 22 scheduled languages and English.
 Selection will be based on originality and creativity. Students shall be contacted telephonically on the phone numbers provided by them to ascertain the originality of the entry submitted.
 The final winners shall be selected from three class categories, i.e. classes 1st to 5th, Classes 6th to 8th and classes 9th to 12th.

CBSE Expression Series on 'Subramania Bharati: The Poet Patriot'

CBSE  announced one day Expression Series on ‘Subramania Bharati: the poet and patriot ’on 11th December , 2014. Subramania Bharati was a firm believer in the philosophy that all beings are one and the same, and in unity with God – therefore, they are all equal. Bharati, while fighting for India’s freedom from British rule, simultaneously worked towards eradicating social problems such as religious and caste differences, superstitions, inequality between men and women, ignorance, and poverty.

This Expression series is open to all schools affiliated to CBSE or any recognised state board across the country. Students in three categories , namely i) Classes I-V, ii)Classes VI-VIII and iii)Classes IX-XII can submit their self –composed poems through the following modes :i) Online ii)Offline (links will be provided on 10th December 2014 on cbseacademic.in) iii)Whatsapp (see Annexure I). Topics shall be announced one day in advance.Entries can be submitted on 11th December 2014 from 9.00am to 5.30pm. in English and in 22 scheduled languages. 36 best entries will be rewarded with a cash prize of 2500/-. All participants with valid email ids will be given participation certificates.
In case an entry is found to be plagiarised at any stage, the entry will be disqualified. There will be a telephonic/ face-to-face interaction with the prospective winners to ascertain the originality of the entry submitted. Entries not in prescribed format will be summarily rejected. 6. If at any stage the entries submitted are proven to be plagiarized or are without the registration details,the entry will be disqualified.
7. Plagiarism, if detected at any point of time, will lead to withdrawal of the prize.
8. Students can refer to as many resources as they can avail, however the entries submitted must be in their own language.
9. The decision of panel of experts will be final and no further communication will be entertained on the selected entries.

CBSE Expression Series on Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya

CBSE is committed to the holistic development of students and strongly feels that students of today
must be made aware of the selfless and valiant services of the women and men who have served the
nation. The present day India has been possible only because several women and men of yester
years worked incessantly towards nation-building.

In continuation of its earlier efforts, the CBSE now announces an Expression Series on Pandit
Deendayal Upadhyaya, a renowned thinker. His life and contribution can be a source of
inspiration for the present generation. This Expression Series will open from 19th September 2014
to 22nd September 2014. The participants can submit their entries from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00
p.m. each day. Winners will be announced on 25th of September 2014, which is the birthday of
Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya.

Salient features of this Expression Series are as follows:-

  • Entries can be submitted both in online and offline mode. Entries will be divided in three categories, i.e. Classes I-V, Classes VI-VIII and Classes IX-XII. 
  • Entries can be submitted individually, in a pair of two students, or as a part of a school team with not more than five students in the team. 
  • Multiple mediums, like essay, poem, one act plays (script not to exceed 2000 words), drawings, paintings, sketches, or a mix of various mediums (that convey the message of the topic) can be used
  • Differently abled/Visually impaired students can also use the audio/ video mode. 
  • Entries can be submitted in any of the 22 scheduled languages or in English.
  • Different Topics for the different categories and applicable word limit (in case the expression is in the form of writing) are given in Annexure I.
  • From each category of entries, 30 best entries (10 individual entries, 10 pair entries and 05 team entries and 05 for differently abled students) will be chosen.
  • Plagiarised entries will be rejected without any notice. There will also be a telephonic/face to face interaction to ascertain the originality of the entries submitted.
  • The criteria for the evaluation will include: originality of expression, presentation, use of multiple media and relevance to the topic. Students need to refrain from directly taking material from the resources available. On the other hand, they should research on the topic and write in their own words.
  • The selected entries will receive a cash prize of Rs. 5000/- each along with a Certificate of Merit. All the participants will receive an online certificate provided they give accurate details.
  • Online registration and its details are given in Annexure – II. You can also submit your entry through Offline mode by using link provided for offline submission (refer Annexure III) or through WhatsApp (refer Annexure IV)

CBSE-KATHA - CREATIVE WRITING AND TRANSLATION COMPETITIONS



 KATHA, a Indian publisher of children’s story books and translated fiction, has been working in the areas of creative writing and translation for nearly 25 years. I Love Reading is a programme to promote creative writing and translation among students I Love Reading Project seeks to nurture their creativity by giving them a platform to share their writing, thereby inspiring generations of future writers (More details in Annexure – 02). Participation in the competitions is free of cost.


CREATIVE WRITING AND TRANSLATION COMPETITION

STAGE -1: KATHA CLUBS
I Love Reading
Affiliated schools will organize On the Spot Writing Contest in the following Categories: 
 
i. Classes IV-VII : July-August 2013
ii. Classes VIII- XII : July-August 2013 

The Principal shall verify and attest to the originality of the stories /translations, submitted by students, before uploading them onto the Katha website: www.katha.org
 
Initially, students may submit their stories in Hindi or English.

 All students may access the submitted stories/translations on the website and cast their vote online.





STAGE -2: REGIONAL WRITING WORKSHOPS
October-November 2013
About 300-400 selected semi-finalists and their accompanying teachers will be invited to a Regional Writing Workshop.
The semi-finalists will be given an opportunity to further develop and revise their submitted stories/translation under the guidance of professional writers, poets, and translators.
 At the conclusion of the Regional Writing Workshop, students will submit their stories for the FINAL ROUND



STAGE -3: KATHA UTSAV
December 2013
The submissions will be screened by experts who will select about 200 of the best entries for the FINALS.
The finalists and their teachers will attend the Katha Utsav in New Delhi. The Katha Utsav will be a 3-day workshop held at the India Habitat Center, with master-classes by experts from the literary field.
Katha will also organize meetings with publishers and literary agents.
A jury will announce prizes for the Best Story and Best Translation which will be published by Katha as BalKatha Prize Stories.
