Ignitron 2K25 – Inter-School Competition

Bharathamatha College of Arts and Science, Kozhinjampara, Palakkad, proudly presents Ignitron 2K25 – Inter-School Competition (School Edition), an exciting platform for young minds to showcase their knowledge, skills, and creativity. The event is scheduled to be held on Friday, 26th September 2025, and invites participation from students of Grade 11 and 12 across various schools.



Rooted in the vision of Saint Kuriakose Elias Chavara and carried forward by the Carmelites of Mary Immaculate (CMI), the college continues its mission of imparting value-based, quality education that empowers future leaders. With Ignitron 2K25, the institution brings together talented students to challenge their intellect, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.

Competitions

  1. Spell Masters Tournament

    • A pair event (up to three teams per school)

    • Rounds include Dictation, Jumbled Words, Lexicon Clash, Pronunciation, and Spell Bee

    • Final round conducted orally, with one designated speller per team

  2. Clue Chase (Treasure Hunt)

    • Team of 3–5 participants (one team per school)

    • Elimination rounds leading to the grand final on campus

    • Test of intelligence, agility, and curiosity on the theme Digital India

  3. Mind Quest (Quiz)

    • Pair event (up to two teams per school)

    • Four rounds with eliminations

    • Team leader to answer questions; quiz master’s decision will be final

  4. Slide Decks (Visual Connections)

    • Team of three students (up to two teams per school)

    • Focus on recognition, memory mapping, and critical thinking

    • Four visual-based stages: Matching, Logo to Concept, Memory Snapshot, and Recognition

  5. Mind Game

    • Pair event (up to three teams per school)

    • Rounds include puzzles, riddles, and memory challenges

    • Designed to test critical thinking and problem-solving abilities

General Guidelines

  • Open to students of Grade 11 and 12 (any stream)

  • A student may participate in only one event

  • Only participants are allowed to attend the events

  • Replacement of team members after registration is not allowed

  • Use of cell phones is restricted unless specifically permitted for an event

  • Each participating school must be accompanied by a teaching staff member

  • Attractive cash prizes and trophies await the winners!

  • College bus facility available from Palakkad

Wildlife Week Celebration 2024 at CCMB-LaCONES
The Centre for Cellular and Molecular Biology or CCMB is an Indian fundamental life science research establishment located in Hyderabad that operates under the aegis of the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research

The first week of October is celebrated as Wildlife Week around the world, emphasizing the importance of wildlife conservation. In alignment with this global event, CCMB-LaCONES is excited to host an interactive competition aimed at fostering a fun learning environment about the biodiversity


surrounding us!

Event Details:

  • Date: October 4, 2024
  • Activities:
    • Drawing & Painting Competition: Using natural colors (we will provide guidance on how to extract these colors).
    • Treasure Hunt: A thrilling wildlife-themed treasure hunt!

Who Can Participate?

  • Treasure Hunt: Teams of 2 students from classes IX to XII. Each team must include an adult, either a teacher or a parent.

Themes for the Drawing & Painting Competition (participants can choose one):

  • Classes VI – VIII:

    • A) Organisms of the Eastern Ghats
    • B) Livelihoods in the Eastern Ghats
  • Classes IX to XII:

    • A) Lesser Known Organisms of the Eastern Ghats
    • B) Eastern Ghats Habitats
