Purpose of the Award

The Indian National Academy of Engineering (INAE), established in 1987, is a ‘Peer’ body of some of the most distinguished engineers in India and abroad.  The salient objects of the Academy are to promote the advancement of and excellence in the practice of engineering and technology and the related science disciplines and their application to problems of national importance.  The Academy also aims at presenting research and development activities in engineering at academic and professional forums in India and abroad.  INAE encourages inventions, scientific investigations and research, and promotes their application for development of all sectors of the national economy.

There is a need to encourage research and development culture amongst engineers during the formative years of their undergraduate and postgraduate training, so that they begin their professional career well prepared with ideas and innovative skills.

The Academy instituted the above Award since 1998 to identify innovative and creative research projects undertaken by the students in the engineering institutions, and to give an early recognition and incentives to them.

B-Schools: First-year and Final-year students from two year MBA/PGDM programs are eligible to apply.

Team Formulation Guidelines:

Students must register in a team of 3.

All members of a team should be from the same Institute.

A team can consist of Final-year or Pre-Final year or both year students, irrespective of the specialization.

A student cannot be a part of more than one team.

Only full-time B-School and Engineering students can participate in HCC Season 5.

There is no restriction on the number of teams from an Institute.

The District level competition of Dr. A. P .J. Abdul Kalam energy quiz competition will be  held on 15/10/2019    22/10/2019 in memory of our former President of India , His Excellency Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam.

Role of faculty mentor:

The first round on 15-10-2019  and is fully online

Kindly extend the lab facility(with internet) for students/if not possible , then students can use their own facility under your supervision

It is closed book type of competition

Pleas ensure that there is no malpractices during the quiz

Students can login using the registration Id and email provided to them

The quiz link will be enabled from 12:00 noon  to 2:00 pm on 15-10-2019  , please ensure that students are attending the competition during this interval

50 Qns and 30 minutes for each team after login and time will be displayed in the screen

There will be negative marking.

This is statewide competition and you can select appropriate time in between this slot (12:00 noon  to 1:00 pm) for each team or whole participants together.

Instruction to the candidates

Team means two students from the same college.

Only B.Tech students,(any branch, any semester) are allowed to participate.

Note down the registration id (Example 10101). This will be displayed after submitting your registration.

Mere registration does not guarantee your candidature in the Quiz Competition. If you are shortlisted, you will get confirmation & Invitation from the respective KSEBEA unit for presentation. You may contact respective unit Quiz coordinators or Unit Secretary, if you fail to get confirmation in a reasonable time.

The District Level Competitions are Online.One team from each District will be selected for State Level Competition.

For State level Competition, Candidates are required to bring Bonafide Student Certificate from the head of the Institution along with Original and Valid College ID card of all the team members.

Failing to produce the documents in original and not reporting at the venue in time will lead to exclusion from the state level Quiz Competition
