Khula Aasmaan International Online Art Contest for School Students


Khula Aasmaan international online art contest is a unique drawing, painting and art competition designed to encourage creative expression. While the art contest started in 2016 for children and young adults, we are now extending it to all age groups.

DEADLINE
The last date for receipt of physical entries for the preliminary round at your nearest office of The Hindu is February 27, 2024.

HOW TO PARTICIPATE IN THE PRELIMINARY ROUND?
-Choose any one of the above topics as per your category and paint on an A3 white drawing sheet (size 11.7 x 16.5 inches).
-You may use water colours, crayons, and colour pencils. Sketch pens and markers can be used only for outline purposes.
-Remember to write the following on the back of your drawing sheet, to be able to qualify for the next round: Topic, Name, Class, School Name (with branch), City, State, Category of Participation, Parent’s name, Registered email ID and mobile number.
-Each participant can submit only one entry.
-Your physical drawing should be sent to your nearest office of The Hindu. List of offices are given below.
-On the top left of the envelope, please mention, “Young World – JSW Futurescapes Painting Competition 2024”.
-Ensure that the painting reaches The Hindu Office before February 27, 2024. Paintings received after the due date will not be considered.
-If you qualify for the next round, the date and details will be intimated to you through your registered email ID or mobile number.
-Winners will get attractive prizes.

WILDLIFE WEEK CELEBRATIONS 2023 DISTRICT LEVEL COMPETITIONS

Competitions shall be conducted for students at District and State level as per the schedule mentioned below for the Lower Primary, Upper Primary, High School and College students. For Lower Primary and Upper Primary students, competitions will be only for Pencil drawing and Water colour painting. For High School and College students, competitions will be for Elocution, Essay writing and Quiz in addition to Pencil drawing and Water colour painting.

Project Veer Gatha 3.0 Contests for Students

The Ministry of Defense (MoD) in collaboration with the Ministry of Education (MoE), India is organizing Project Veer Gatha 3.0 from August 8 to October 17, 2023.

Project Veer Gatha was instituted under Gallantry Awards Portal (GAP) in 2021 with the aim to disseminate the details of acts of bravery of the Gallantry Awardees and the life stories of these brave hearts among the students so as to raise the spirit of patriotism and instill amongst them values of civic consciousness.


Project Veer Gatha deepened this noble aim by providing a platform for school students to do creative projects/activities based on gallantry award winners. As part of this, the students framed different projects through various media like art, poems, essays, and multimedia on these gallantry award winners, and the best projects were awarded at the national level by the Ministry of Defence and the Ministry of Education.

Categories & Activities
Class 3 to 5: Poem/Paragraph (150 words)/Painting/Drawing/Multimedia Presentation/Video.
Class 6 to 8: Poem/Paragraph (300 words)/Painting/Drawing/Multimedia Presentation/Video.
Class 9 to 10: Poem/Essay (750 words)/Painting/Drawing/Multimedia Presentation/Video.
Class 11 to 12: Poem/Essay (1000 words)/Painting/Drawing/Multimedia Presentation/Video.

“Rang De Veer”–All India Open Online Painting Contest

The purpose of the contest is to create awareness about the fallen heroes of our Armed Forces and generate a nationalistic feeling among all the school children.
 
Theme

 The theme of the contest is, “Balidan” – saluting the sacrifice of the fallen soldiers of our Armed Forces right from India’s independence in 1947 till date.
 
Who can Participate

The contest is open to:
All children studying in Class I to Class XII in any school located in India.
All children studying in “open schools” affiliated to National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS) and pursuing studies through open and distance learning (ODL) mode.
All “children with special needs” enrolled in regular/special schools under “Special Category” of the contest.
All children holding Indian passports and studying in CBSE affiliated schools outside India.
 There is no participation fee and only Indian nationals can take part in the contest.
 Contest

The contest is being conducted under two categories:
Junior Category: Students of Class I to Class VI (or up to 12 years of age)
Senior Category: Students of Class VII to Class XII (or up to 18 years of age)
 

** Children with “Special Needs” under both categories will be assessed under “Special Category”.

 There are a total of 56 prizes (28 prizes in each category) in the contest:
 Junior Category:


First Prize: Rs 30,000/- and Certificate of Excellence
Second Prize: Rs 20,000/- and Certificate of Excellence
Third Prize: Rs 10,000/- and Certificate of Excellence
20 Consolation Prizes of Rs 2500/- each along with Certificate of Excellence
05 Special Prizes for “Children with Special Needs”
Additionally, each winner will be given a gift containing a set of books

What to Submit

The children can take part in the contest by submitting a painting, which should be a tribute to the sacrifice (Balidan) of any one or more fallen heroes of our Armed Forces from any war/operation since 1947.
The participants may visit https://www.honourpoint.in to find more information about the fallen soldiers of all the wars/operations since 1947.
 
How to Submit

The participants should make a painting and then digitize it by scanning or using a good quality camera (Stand Alone or Mobile Phone). The participants are requested to send only the digitized version of the painting.
The digitized painting should be A3 in size (11.69 by 16.54 inches) with a minimum 300 PPI (Pixels per Inch) resolution.
In case of junior category, the digitized painting should be sent to the mail ID honourpoint.rdv.junior@gmail.com. The mail should be sent along with the contact mail ID of the participant (or parent/teacher) and copy of his/her photo identity (School ID/ Aadhaar Card etc.)
In case of senior category the digitized painting should be sent to the mail ID honourpoint.rdv.senior@gmail.com. The mail should be sent along with the contact mail ID of the participant and copy of his/her photo identity (School ID/ Aadhaar Card etc.)
The children with special needs should mention “Special Category” in the mail subject line while submitting the entries in their respective categories.
The participants should submit a declaration (written and signed at the base of the painting or on a separate sheet) stating ….”I certify that the work submitted by me is my own and Honourpoint is free to utilize the same in any media or form”.

CBSE EXPRESSION SERIES for the Session 2023-24

The 1st Expression Series for the session 2023-24 will be based on the theme ‘Skill Development in India: From Local to Global’ on the following topics:

Primary (Class 3 to 5): Paragraph (150 words) / Painting. Topic- A famous Indian personality who achieved success through his/her skills or Skills a child needs to excel.
Middle (Class 6 to 8): Essay (400 words)/ Painting / Poem. Topic- According to me, the best example of Kabaad se Jugaad is…. or Local skill of my district which I can promote.
Secondary (Class 9 to 10): Essay (700 words) / Painting / Poem. Topic- Emerging industries and required skills or Role of Education in Skill Development.
Senior Secondary (Class 11 to 12): Essay (1000 words) / Painting / Poem. Topic- Globalization and need for globally-relevant skills or Skill development for inclusive and sustainable economic growth.

Petroleum Conservation Research Association (PCRA) is a registered society set up under the aegis of Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas, Government of India. PCRA is a national government agency engaged in promoting fuel conservation and energy efficiency in various sectors of the economy. It also helps the government in formulating policies and strategies for petroleum conservation, aimed at reducing excessive dependence of the country on oil imports.
PCRA is organising a painting competition for the students. This is a golden opportunity for millions of young, budding students to test their calibre & bag coveted certificates, prizes and an all-expenses paid educational foreign trip to a foreign country.

KSCST ON-LINE SCIENCE PAINTING COMPETITION

Science painting is an on-the-spot painting competition organised through online platform. The students of class 8, 9, and 10 of Karnataka will be participating. The competition is conducted in 4 batches i.e.,
Batch 1: Government school students
Batch 2: Private school students of 8 standard
Batch 3: Private school students of 9 standard
Batch 4: Private school students of 10 standard

Theme
“Integrated Approach in Science and Technology for Sustainable Future”

Students should paint based on the narrated science concept.
➢ Must use A3 Size drawing sheets for the painting competition.
➢ The drawing can be of free style, may use crayons, water color, paint and other related accessories.
➢ Scan the painted sheet using Adobe Scan App or any other App in .pdf format and submit to KSCST within 30 minutes through Google link provided during the competition.
➢ Only registered students can participate in the competition. 
The winners of the competition will be awarded with eCertificate and cash prize on National Science Day 2022 programme to be held on 28th February 2022 (Monday) – through online platform.
