The National Quiz on Partition Horrors Remembrance Day 2026 is being organised by the Ministry of Culture, Government of India, in collaboration with MyGov. The quiz is intended to encourage citizens, particularly young people, to learn more about the Partition of India, remember those who suffered and were displaced, and reflect on the values of national unity, social harmony and collective remembrance.
๐ About the Quiz
The quiz is organised in connection with Partition Horrors Remembrance Day (Vibhajan Vibhishika Smriti Diwas), observed every year on 14 August.
It aims to:
- Increase awareness about the history and impact of the Partition of India.
- Remember the lives lost and the millions who were displaced.
- Honour Partition survivors and their experiences.
- Encourage younger generations to understand this important chapter of India's history.
- Promote the values of national unity, social harmony and collective remembrance.
๐ฅ Eligibility
The quiz is open to all Indian citizens.
Participants can take part only once. One mobile number and one email ID cannot be used by more than one participant for the same quiz at the same time. Participation involving impersonation, double participation or other unfair practices may be rejected

The official MyGov page states that all participants will receive an e-certificate.

The quiz started on 1 August 2026 at 11:00 AM and the last date to participate is 15 September 2026 at 11:45 PM.
