Students interested in electronics, robotics, embedded systems, automation, and hardware innovation can put their engineering skills into practice at NAVYANTRA – Build Beyond Boundaries, a 24-hour National Level Hardware Hackathon being held in Bengaluru in October 2026.
Organized by the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering and the IEEE KSSEM Student Branch, in association with the IEEE CEDA Bangalore Chapter, Inversa Technosoft, and Tenet Technetronics, the hackathon challenges participants to turn innovative ideas into working hardware prototypes.
About NAVYANTRA
NAVYANTRA provides participants with an opportunity to work on real-world problems through hands-on engineering, rapid prototyping, teamwork, creativity, and problem-solving.
Teams will have 24 hours to design, build, test, and demonstrate their hardware-based solutions. The event is designed to encourage practical application of engineering concepts and industry-oriented innovation.
Hackathon Domains
Participants can develop solutions in any of the following areas:
Smart Healthcare & Personal Safety
Smart Agriculture & Environment
Smart Mobility & Robotics
Smart Infrastructure & Industrial Automation
These themes provide opportunities to work on projects involving areas such as smart devices, sensors, automation, robotics, environmental monitoring, mobility solutions, and safety technologies.
Team Size
Participants will compete in teams of 3 to 4 members. Teams will work together throughout the 24-hour challenge to develop and demonstrate their prototypes.
Prizes and Opportunities
NAVYANTRA offers a total prize pool of ₹50,000.
In addition to the prize pool, the winning team will receive an internship opportunity with a stipend, subject to the applicable terms and conditions.
Who Can Participate?
The hackathon is aimed at students interested in hardware development, electronics, engineering innovation, robotics, automation, and related technologies. Participants can collaborate in teams of 3–4 members and work on solutions under one of the four announced domains.
