Bharatiya Gyan Quiz on Governance & Statecraft 2026 is a national-level online quiz initiative by the Indian Knowledge Systems (IKS) Division, Ministry of Education, in collaboration with MyGov. The quiz focuses on India's rich traditions of political thought, governance and statecraft found in classical Indian texts.
The initiative forms part of a monthly national-level quiz series designed to increase awareness and engagement with India's traditional knowledge heritage.

The September 2026 edition focuses on Governance & Statecraft, exploring how classical Indian traditions approached subjects such as administration, kingship, diplomacy, justice, taxation, defence, foreign policy, ethics and public welfare.
The quiz draws on knowledge from important classical sources, including:
- Arthashastra
- Dharmashastra
- Mahabharata
- Ramayana
- Manusmriti
- Nitisara
- Other related classical sources
Through the quiz, participants can explore ideas about the duties of rulers, administration of the state, strategic decision-making and the relationship between political power and dharma.

The quiz is open to all Indian citizens.
Participants need to provide details such as their name, email address and telephone number, along with any additional information required for conducting the quiz.
Employees directly or indirectly connected with organising the quiz, as well as their immediate family members, are not eligible to participate.
