GEMA is organizing the International Young Scientist Award 2026, an international platform designed to encourage creativity, scientific thinking and innovation among young students.
Students can participate by submitting a recorded video or a written project report with images, presenting an experiment, activity, working model or chart-based project that demonstrates a scientific concept.
The competition encourages students to explore science beyond textbooks and classroom activities through simple, creative and interesting projects.
Categories
Students are divided into four age groups:

| Newton | Grades 1–3 |
| Einstein | Grades 4–6 |
| Galileo | Grades 7–9 |
| Darwin | Grades 10–12 |
Students may choose a basic scientific concept or principle and demonstrate it through an experiment, activity, working model or chart presentation.
Judging Criteria
Projects will be evaluated on:
Creativity – 30%
Scientific Knowledge – 30%
Persuasiveness and Communication – 20%
Overall Presentation – 20%

Gold, Silver and Bronze Trophy winners in each category
10 Gold Medals for Outstanding Projects in each category
Recognition in press releases for selected winners
E-Certificate for every participant
Trophy and Certificate for teachers/coordinators sending bulk entries
Special recognition and Trophy for the school with the most entries

Registration Fee: INR 500 per participant
Who Can Participate?
Students from Grades 1 to 12 can participate in their respective age groups.
The Young Scientist Award provides an opportunity for students to turn scientific curiosity into practical exploration and share their ideas with an international audience.
