Think you know forensic science? Now prove it in a Reel!
Why Crime is inviting participants to showcase their knowledge and creativity through the Forensic Reel Making Competition. Participants have to create a short Instagram Reel based on a topic related to forensic science and present real facts, cases, techniques or concepts in an engaging way.
๐ฌ About the Competition
Participants need to create a 40–80 second Reel on any topic related to forensic science. The Reel should be original, informative and presented by the participant.
The competition provides an opportunity to communicate forensic science concepts through short-form video while demonstrating both subject knowledge and presentation skills.
๐ How to Participate?
Follow these steps to enter the competition:
- Create: Make a 40–80 second Reel on any forensic science-related topic.
- Upload: Post the Reel on Instagram.
- Tag: Tag @whycrime.in and use the official hashtag #WhyCrimeReel.
- Collaborate: Send a collaboration request to Why Crime.
- Register: Scan the QR code provided by the organiser and complete the Google Form.

๐ Participation Guidelines
- Your Instagram account must be public.
- The Reel must be original and created by you.
- Participants must appear on camera and speak themselves.
- The Reel should not consist solely of edited content, photographs, slides or Lightroom edits.
- Your face and presentation should be clearly visible.
- The content should focus on real forensic science, facts, cases, techniques or concepts.
