SPOT, an assessment test conducted by Vikram Sarabhai Science Initiative, evaluates students with aptitude to determine their conceptual knowledge and understanding of science across disciplines


Registration Started for SPOT 2021-22

SPOT (Science Promotion Orient test) is an assessment examination conducted by Vikram Sarabhai Science Foundation (VSSF)for students with aptitude to determine their conceptual knowledge & understanding of Science, across disciplines. 

Doing SPOT develop student's ability to ask questions, collect information, organize & test ideas, problem solve & apply what one learn.Evermore SPOT offers powerful platform for building confidence, developing communication skills and making send=se of world around us- a world that’s increasingly shaped by Science & Technology.

Shortlisted BRIGHT SPOT’s will be provided with Study materials and will have exclusive access to “SPOTICO*, a web based platform where they can interact with scholars (Academicians, Researchers, Professors, Scientists) with questions, ideas etc.

Eligibility: Students of Class III to XII

Select few would be eligible for scholarships.

SPOT Prelims: Conducted at respective schools under the supervision of School coordinators
SPOT Final: Conducted by (VSSF) for shortlisted students of SPOT Prelims, either written or Online (detailed syllabus for the test will be provided through School coordinators)

Science Educator Excellence Award 
SPOT honours Teachers who have made special efforts to enhance & instil an appreciation and 
enjoyment of learning Science of their young students. 
2 Award recipients (2 from each Zone*) will each receive Certificate / Mementos & Cash prize of 
Rs.15000/- 

SPOT advantage: School & Coordinator's 
Max Science School Award:  Schools with maximum BRIGHT SPOTS (3 schools per Zone*) automatically qualify for the award.  
Award include Certificate, Memento & Cash prize of Rs.10000/- per school 
Best School Coordinator Award: Top 2 coordinators from each state are eligible for this award. 
Award include Certificate, Memento & Cash prize of Rs.5000/- per coordinator

    1. No specific study materials. The syllabus is available at https://www.vssf.in/syllabus
      He can prepare accordingly.

    I am Ashish(7th standard)from DAV Public school Tohana,Fatehabad,Haryana.
    Sir/Mam ,I have cleared 1st Level of exam
    but I have some queries about 2nd level that -
    *When it will be held?
    *What is the syllabus for 2nd level?
    *Where it will be held?

  5. Result of the test conducted by VSSF on 19 dec was to be announced through mail by 24 dec 2020....but I haven't received any mail as per 24 dec(today)2020....please reply
