Young INTACH Heritage Festival 2026

 A Celebration of Heritage, Creativity and Young Talent

INTACH Palakkad Chapter. is organising Young INTACH Heritage Festival 2026 for school students.  The district-wide festival brings together students from across Palakkad for a day of heritage, creativity, storytelling and friendly competition.

Supported by the Ministry of Culture, Government of India, and with the involvement of Kerala Kalamandalam, the festival provides students with an exciting opportunity to explore India's rich cultural heritage while developing their research, creative thinking, artistic and storytelling skills.

The event will also feature accomplished artists, performers, writers and heritage specialists who will interact with students as expert mentors, making the festival an enriching learning experience beyond the competitions.

National Heritage Quiz

A quiz that challenges students to explore India's rich heritage, famous places, personalities, traditions and cultural treasures.

Participants:

  • Maximum 2 teams, with 2 students per team

  • Classes 7, 8, 9 and 10

Poster Making & Writing Competition

An opportunity for young creators to combine imagination, visual expression and storytelling while exploring themes connected with heritage.

Participants:

  • Maximum 4 participants

  • Classes 7, 8 and 9

Headgear Making Competition

Students will bring their creativity to life by designing and making traditional or heritage-inspired headgear.

Participants:

  • 1 team of 2 students

  • Classes 9, 10 and 11

Toy Making Competition

A hands-on creative challenge where students transform simple materials into imaginative toys inspired by traditional culture and heritage.

Participants:

  • Maximum 1 team of 2 students

  • Classes 9, 10 and 11

Mono-Drama Competition

A single performer takes the stage to tell a story through acting, expression and imagination.

Participant:

  • 1 participant per school

Kathakali Face-Painting Workshop

Students get an opportunity to explore the vibrant colours, patterns and artistic traditions of Kathakali, one of Kerala's most iconic performing art forms.

  • Classes 7, 8 and 9

Birdspiracy AI Competition 2026 – Win Up to ₹25,000


The Birdspiracy AI Competition 2026 is a free national-level AI competition inviting students from Classes 9 to 12 to identify real-world problems and propose innovative solutions using artificial intelligence.


The competition encourages students to think creatively about how AI can address meaningful issues. No coding experience is required, and participants from any academic background can take part.

With a total prize pool of ₹50,000, the competition offers students an opportunity to showcase their ideas, problem-solving skills and understanding of AI.

About the Birdspiracy AI Competition

Birdspiracy AI Competition 2026 is designed for school students who are interested in exploring the potential of artificial intelligence.

Participants need to identify a real problem, explain its impact, and develop a proposed AI-powered solution. The competition focuses not only on the use of AI but also on how clearly students can explain their idea, its feasibility and its potential limitations.

Students can participate individually or form teams of up to four members.

Eligibility

The competition is open to:

Students studying in Classes 9 to 12
Students from any school
Participants from any subject background
Teams of 1 to 4 students
Students from India as well as entrants from other countries
Students with or without coding experience

There is no entry fee.

A school can enter any number of teams, but each team can submit only one entry.

What Do Participants Have to Submit?

Each team must prepare a presentation consisting of:

Title slide
4 to 6 content slides
Sources slide

The final presentation must be exported as a PDF and should not exceed 10 MB.

The complete PDF will therefore contain 6 to 8 pages.

The file should be named:

TeamName - SchoolName.pdf

Content Slide Requirements

The 4 to 6 content slides should address the following areas:

1. The Issue – 10 Marks

Participants should identify a real-world problem that they can observe and describe.

The presentation should explain:

What the problem is
Who is affected by it
How large or significant the problem is
Evidence supporting the existence and impact of the problem
2. Solution and AI Impact – 20 Marks

Students should present their proposed solution and explain the role of AI.

The presentation should cover:

What the proposed solution is
What AI would do as part of the solution
What solutions already exist
How the proposed idea is different
What is required to make the solution work
Where the solution could fail or face limitations
How the solution could be built
3. Presentation – 10 Marks

The judges will also assess how effectively the presentation communicates the idea.

Students should make their slides clear, organised and convincing.

A sources slide is mandatory. An entry without a sources slide cannot score more than 5 marks for presentation.

Prizes

The Birdspiracy AI Competition 2026 has a total prize pool of ₹50,000, distributed among the top three teams.

Prizes will be paid in Indian rupees.

Certificates for Participants

Every team that submits a complete and valid presentation will receive a Certificate of AI Innovation.

The certificate will be personalised with:

Student's name
Team name
School name

It will be co-signed by the Chief Academic Judge and the founders, Sam Irfan and Ishat Gangatkar.

The top three teams will additionally receive exclusive 1st Place, 2nd Place and 3rd Place certificates.

Why Should Students Participate?

The Birdspiracy AI Competition provides students with an opportunity to go beyond simply learning about artificial intelligence. Participants can explore a real-world issue, think about how technology could address it, and present their idea in a structured and persuasive way.

Since coding experience is not required, students from different academic backgrounds can participate. The competition can be particularly useful for students interested in AI, technology, innovation, problem-solving, science and entrepreneurship.
