Poster Competition 2023

Submissions are invited for Poster Competition 2023 on the Occasion of Wildlife Week for Students in Classes 5-7 by Goa Forest Department.


As part of the Wildlife Week Awareness Campaign, 2023, a Poster Competition will be conducted by the Goa Forest Department for the school students in classes 5-7 in the State.

Topic
Western Ghats and its Diversity

Competition Rules
Interested school shall register themselves with Taluka level nodal officers and conduct the event at their premises in association with nodal officers.
Each school should conduct competition and select ten best entries and submit to respective Taluka Nodal officers.
Duration of the event is 1 hr 30 minutes.
Drawing Sheet (A3 size) will be provided by the Department/Nodal Officers.
Participants are requested to get cardboard, and water colours.
Only Water colours to be used.
Names, Std., School name should be mentioned on the back side of drawing sheet.
Evaluation to be done at District level by Subject Experts.
Decision of judges will be final.
If any of the above conditions are not fulfilled the entry will be disqualified.
Best three entries to be evaluated for prizes in each category at District Level.

The last date for registration for schools and Colleges with Taluka Level Officers is 28.09.2023.
School shall send the best 3 entries to Taluka Level Officers on or before 05.10.2023.

State Level Photo Contest 2023 (Goa)

The Department of Information & Publicity has invited entries under the Goa State Photo Contest and Exhibition Scheme -2014. The Photo Competition has two sections with two different subjects. The topics in the category- Goan Traditional Cuisine; and in category-2 Goa’s Rural Life.


Each entry should carry the photographer’s name, nationality, postal address, mobile number, telephone numbers, e-mail address on the back of the photographs in block letters. Technical details such as camera used, should be sent along with the entry. Mobile images shall not be considered for the entry.

A brief of the photograph and bio-data of the photographer not more than 100 words and residential certificate each should be attached with the entry. Certificate that all photographs are the works of original nature and taken by the entrant himself/herself has to be enclosed by the entrant.

Contest Guidelines
Entrants are required to send a soft copy with high resolution along with a hardcopy.
The entrants need to submit colour prints in 12 x8 and can send a maximum number of 4 different photographs in either one or both categories.
There is no entry fee, no age bar and no qualification required for participation in the contest.
Picture clicked with drone will not be accepted.

Submission Guidelines
The entries should be super scribed with the words: “Entries for The Goa State Photo Contest and Exhibition” and to be addressed to the Director of Information and Publicity, 3rd Floor, Udyog Bhavan, Panaji, Goa. Entries received after the closing date will not be entertained.

The last date for submission of entries is up to 5.00 pm of October 13, 2023.

Prizes
The first Prize in each category carries a cash prize of Rs. 20,000/-, Second Prize – Rs. 16,000/- and Third Prize of Rs.12, 000/- along with trophy and certificate, besides five Consolation Prizes of Rs. 2,000/- each and certificate in each category. The photographs will become the property of DIP and would be used for exhibition and other publications of the Department and Government of Goa.

Essay Competition 2023

As part of the Wildlife Week Awareness Campaign, 2023, an Essay Competition will be conducted by the Goa Forest Department for the school students in classes 11 and 12 in the State.


Topics
English Topic: Wildlife for Healthy Planet.
Marathi Topic: Nirogi Jivanasathi Vanyajiva.
Konkani Topic: Nirogi Jagpa Khatir Vanjiv.
Hindi Topic: Swastya Jeevan Ke Liye Vanya Jeevan.

Competition Rules
Interested school shall register themselves with Taluka level nodal officers and conduct the event at their premises in association with nodal officers.
Essay must be written in any of the following languages: English, Marathi, Hindi or Konkani.
Each school may conduct competition and select five best essays in each language and submit to respective Taluka Nodal officers.
Duration of the event is 2 hr.
The word limit for the essay is maximum 1000.
All participants will get participation certificates.
Evaluation to be done at District level by Subject Experts.
Decision of judges will be final.
If any of the above conditions are not fulfilled the entry will be disqualified.
Best three entries to be evaluated for prizes in each category at District Level.

The last date for registration for schools and Colleges with Taluka Level Officers is 28.09.2023.

Drawing Competition 2023

As part of the Wildlife Week Awareness Campaign, 2023, a Drawing Competition will be conducted by the Goa Forest Department for the school and specially-abled students in the State.


Categories
Category A: Std : 1 – 4.
Category B: Specially abled Children.

Topics
Topic for Category A: Butterflies of Goa.
Topic for Category B: Flowers of Goa.

Competition Rules
Interested school shall register themselves with Taluka level nodal officers and conduct the event at their premises in association with nodal officers.
School will send the best 3 entries to nodal officers.
Drawing Sheet (A3 size) will be provided by the Department/Nodal Officers.
Duration of the event is 1 hr.
Participants are requested to get cardboard, colouring material and are free to use any colouring material available with them.
Names, Std., School name should be mentioned on the back side of drawing sheet.
Evaluation to be done at District level by Subject Experts.
Decision of judges will be final.
If any of the above conditions are not fulfilled the entry will be disqualified.
Best three entries to be evaluated for prizes in each category at District Level.

GOA STATE LEVEL PHOTO CONTEST-2020

The Department of Information & Publicity invites entries under the Goa State Photo Contest and Exhibition Scheme -2014.

The Photo Competition has two sections with two different subjects. The topics in the category-1 is conserving environment for ecology; and in  category-2 Infrastructure and allied facilities to contain Covid-19

Each entry should carry photographer's name, nationality, postal address, mobile number, telephone numbers, e-mail address on the back of the photographs in Block letters. Technical details such as camera used, should be sent along with the entry. Mobile images shall not be considered for the entry. A brief of the photographs and bio-data of the photographer not more than 100 words each should be attached with the entry. Certificate that all photographs are the works of original nature and taken by the entrant himself/herself has to be enclosed by the entrant. Entrants are required to send a soft copy along with photograph of high resolution.
