MEA Scholarships 2022 For Students From Kerala (Malayalee Engineers Association)

MEA scholarship is intended for students with a proven academic record, but have a financial hardship that may prevent them from continuing on with their professional college education. 

Award of Scholarship shall be based on the academic merit and financial hardship of the applicant. A panel of MEA members shall select the scholarship winners based on merit and financial hardship of the candidate. The student will become eligible for the scholarship during the FIRST year of studies. The scholarship will be renewed every year for the first four/five years of studies, provided the student has shown satisfactory performance in the preceding year.

Eligibility

(1) Annual family income less than Rs.1,50,000 per year,

(2a) Ranked higher than 5000 (1 to 5000) in the Govt. of Kerala Engineering Entrance Examination (KEAM Rank).

OR

(2b) National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA) score greater than 110 (For B. Arch students)

(3) Scored above 85% marks in Class X and XII examinations

MEA Houston has been awarding scholarships every year since 2000. Students selected for MEA scholarships will be awarded an amount of $600 per year for four / five years, subject to academic performance.

Virchow Scholarship Program

Virchow Scholarship Program is an initiative of the Virchow Foundation to provide financial assistance to meritorious and underprivileged girls to pursue their higher education. Under this scholarship, girl students from Telangana and Andhra Pradesh who have passed Class 10 or 12 and are currently studying in Class 11 or diploma/graduation (in any stream) at government schools/colleges will be provided with a scholarship up to INR 15,000 to continue their education.
