H & C All Kerala Quiz Competition 2026-27

H & Stores wholeheartedly welcome and invite the participation of schools across the state of Kerala for the H & C All Kerala Quiz Competition 2026-27


Eligibility
Students of classes 3, 4, 5, 6 and 7.

Competition Format 

All Government, Aided, Private, CBSE, and ICSE school students can participate under the banner of the school without registration fees. The medium of the competition, including that of the written test, will be English. The written tests, in both the zonal and school \evels, will have Multiple Choice Questions alone. Any number of willing students are welcome to participate in the first level. 

The schools interested in participating must inform the organizing committee of their interest via e-mail (helphandc@gmail.com). The e-mail should include the total number of participants in the school-level written test, from each class. This is required for arranging the adequate number of Quiz booklets to reach the school prior to the date of the test. 

School-Level: The first level of the competition will be conducted in the respective schools as a written test. The duration of the test will be 1 hour. The four top scorers from each grade - 6, 7 & 8 will be selected from the participating schools. These students will then be arranged into 6 teams of two members each, i.e., two teams representing each grade. They shall be the participants in the zonal-level contest. 

At the school-level competition, we would like the schools to evaluate the answered Quiz booklets (The answer key for the same will be shared with the schools) after the exam and send the details of the winners from each class. Also, we would like to get a detailed list of students who have scored more than 80% in the written test. We intend to honour them with certificates.

Topics and Areas for the Quiz 

The quiz will be based on the book series GK Treasure published by Digvijay Vidyaguru Publishing Limited, worth D 135/- each. Though a majority of the questions will be based on this book, there will be questions on General Knowledge and Current Affairs from outside the book as well. 
The distribution of the questions will be as follows: For Class 3, 4 & 5 – 80% from the book G K Treasure and 20% GK and Current Affairs. For Class 6 & 7 – 75% from the book G K Treasure and 25% GK and Current Affairs.

2nd : Cash Prize of D 900/-, certificates and book purchase voucher worth D 900/-
3rd : Cash Prize of D 650/-, certificates and book purchase voucher worth D 650/-
' All the other participant teams at the Zonal-level will be presented with certificates and
book purchase vouchers worth D 300/-.

SCHOOL-LEVEL
' Every student who scores 60% and above in the School-level contest will be awarded
certificates.
' Certificates will be sent to the respective schools after the event.

' The schools are expected to upload the details including the school address, class,
and full names of the students (with initials and surname) who score 60% and above at
www.handcstores.com.

The Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) Old Students’ Association Kerala Chapter is pleased to announce an essay competition for college and university students across Kerala. Manappuram Quizzing League - All Kerala Quiz Contest

 Manappuram Quizzing League (MQL) – the premier Quizzing League in the state, is powered by Manappuram Foundation, is conducted in the fond memory of Smt. Sarojini Padmanabhan.

The second edition of MQL, the annual mega quizzing event and the largest of its kind in Kerala. MQL celebrates Kerala’s spirit of inquiry and the thirst for knowledge. 

The quiz is conducted for three categories - 
Junior School (6-9 standards)
Senior School (10-12 standards) and
College Students.

Prizes
Prizes worth INR 25 Lakhs and Scholarships worth INR 1 crore are to be distributed amongst more than 50,000 students who are taking part in the event. More than 500 schools are taking part, from all the districts of the state. 
After a pan-Kerala written round, conducted at respective schools, the Zonal-level competitions will be held at Calicut, Ernakulum and Thiruvananthapuram. 

Prize money at the Zonal level is INR 15,000 for first, INR 10,000 for second and INR 5,000 for third prize winners in the Junior and Senior School categories. For the Campus Quiz, it is INR 25,000 for the first, INR 20,000 for the second and INR 15,000 for the third prize. All finalists will win attractive prizes.

For the grand finale, selected from winners of the zonal level, prize money is INR 50,000, INR 30,000 and INR 15,000 respectively for winners at Junior and Senior School levels. For college quiz, it is INR 75,000, INR 50,000 and INR 20,000 respectively.

For the schools, there will be a ranking based on the performance of student teams at Zonal and State Level. The school that tops the league from every district will get a prize money of INR 10,000 each. The schools that ensure the maximum participation at the first level will get a prize money of INR 5,000 per district.

WILDLIFE WEEK CELEBRATIONS 2023 DISTRICT LEVEL COMPETITIONS

Competitions shall be conducted for students at District and State level as per the schedule mentioned below for the Lower Primary, Upper Primary, High School and College students. For Lower Primary and Upper Primary students, competitions will be only for Pencil drawing and Water colour painting. Submissions are invited for Poster Competition 2023 on the Occasion of Wildlife Week for Students in Classes 5-7 by Goa Forest Department.


As part of the Wildlife Week Awareness Campaign, 2023, a Poster Competition will be conducted by the Goa Forest Department for the school students in classes 5-7 in the State.

Competition Rules
Interested school shall register themselves with Taluka level nodal officers and conduct the event at their premises in association with nodal officers.
Each school should conduct competition and select ten best entries and submit to respective Taluka Nodal officers.
Duration of the event is 1 hr 30 minutes.
Drawing Sheet (A3 size) will be provided by the Department/Nodal Officers.
Participants are requested to get cardboard, and water colours.
Only Water colours to be used.
Names, Std., School name should be mentioned on the back side of drawing sheet.
Evaluation to be done at District level by Subject Experts.
Decision of judges will be final.
If any of the above conditions are not fulfilled the entry will be disqualified.
Best three entries to be evaluated for prizes in each category at District Level.

The last date for registration for schools and Colleges with Taluka Level Officers is 28.09.2023.
School shall send the best 3 entries to Taluka Level Officers on or before 05.10.2023.

State Level Photo Contest 2023 (Goa)

The Department of Information & Publicity has invited entries under the Goa State Photo Contest and Exhibition Scheme -2014. The Photo Competition has two sections with two different subjects. The topics in the category- Goan Traditional Cuisine; and in category-2 Goa’s Rural Life.


Each entry should carry the photographer’s name, nationality, postal address, mobile number, telephone numbers, e-mail address on the back of the photographs in block letters. Technical details such as camera used, should be sent along with the entry. Mobile images shall not be considered for the entry.

A brief of the photograph and bio-data of the photographer not more than 100 words and residential certificate each should be attached with the entry. Certificate that all photographs are the works of original nature and taken by the entrant himself/herself has to be enclosed by the entrant.

Contest Guidelines
Entrants are required to send a soft copy with high resolution along with a hardcopy.
The entrants need to submit colour prints in 12 x8 and can send a maximum number of 4 different photographs in either one or both categories.
There is no entry fee, no age bar and no qualification required for participation in the contest.
Picture clicked with drone will not be accepted.

Submission Guidelines
The entries should be super scribed with the words: “Entries for The Goa State Photo Contest and Exhibition” and to be addressed to the Director of Information and Publicity, 3rd Floor, Udyog Bhavan, Panaji, Goa. Entries received after the closing date will not be entertained.

The last date for submission of entries is up to 5.00 pm of October 13, 2023.

Prizes
The first Prize in each category carries a cash prize of Rs. 20,000/-, Second Prize – Rs. 16,000/- and Third Prize of Rs.12, 000/- along with trophy and certificate, besides five Consolation Prizes of Rs. 2,000/- each and certificate in each category. The photographs will become the property of DIP and would be used for exhibition and other publications of the Department and Government of Goa.

Essay Competition 2023

As part of the Wildlife Week Awareness Campaign, 2023, an Essay Competition will be conducted by the Goa Forest Department for the school students in classes 11 and 12 in the State.


Topics
English Topic: Wildlife for Healthy Planet.
Marathi Topic: Nirogi Jivanasathi Vanyajiva.
Konkani Topic: Nirogi Jagpa Khatir Vanjiv.
Hindi Topic: Swastya Jeevan Ke Liye Vanya Jeevan.

Competition Rules
Interested school shall register themselves with Taluka level nodal officers and conduct the event at their premises in association with nodal officers.
Essay must be written in any of the following languages: English, Marathi, Hindi or Konkani.
Each school may conduct competition and select five best essays in each language and submit to respective Taluka Nodal officers.
Duration of the event is 2 hr.
The word limit for the essay is maximum 1000.
All participants will get participation certificates.
Evaluation to be done at District level by Subject Experts.
Decision of judges will be final.
If any of the above conditions are not fulfilled the entry will be disqualified.
Best three entries to be evaluated for prizes in each category at District Level.

The last date for registration for schools and Colleges with Taluka Level Officers is 28.09.2023.

As part of the Wildlife Week Awareness Campaign, 2023, a Drawing Competition will be conducted by the Goa Forest Department for the school and specially-abled students in the State.

Painting, Slogan and Essay Writing Competition

Wildlife Wing of Himachal Pradesh Forest Department is celebrating Wildlife Week 2023 during first week of October, 2023. On this occasion, a State Level “Painting Competition” and “Slogan Writing Competition” (Hindi & English) and ‘Essay Writing Competition’ (Hindi & English) for Students of Himachal Pradesh shall be held. 

Theme for the Competition is: “Development and Wildlife Path” OR “เคตिเค•ाเคธ เคเคตं เคตเคจ्เคฏเคœीเคต เคฎाเคฐ्เค—“


Eligibility
Painting Competition (Up to class 5th).
Slogan Competition (both in Hindi and English) (6th-8th class).
Essay writing Competition (both in Hindi and English) (9th to 12th. class). 

Prizes
First, second and third Prizes shall comprise of cash award of Rs. 5000, Rs.3000 and Rs.2000 in each category

Guidelines
There is no entry fee.
The entries on aforesaid themes only shall be eligible.
This competition is open to students of 1st to 12th Class (Category wise as mentioned above) Studying in any School in Himachal Pradesh. 
Only the entries submitted through Headmaster/Principal of the concerned school will be accepted.
Painting should be done on drawing sheet size (12inches x 15 inches). 
Slogan and Essay Writing entries can be either in Hindi or English language.
Word limit for Essay writing is between 800 to 1000 words. The ideas should be original. Entrants can submit only one entry under each category of this Competition. 
The Wildlife Wing shall have right to display/ exhibit the entries received with due credit to the concerned. 
Entries should be submitted online only. Category of the Competition should be properly mentioned. 

All the School Headmasters/Principals are requested to conduct competition at their own level and submit the best three entries in each category from the official e-mail ID of the school in the e-mail ID’s given below category wise on or before 30th September, 2023 (5.00 PM).
