A meaningful learning opportunity for students of Classes V to XII!

Can you make a difference to society by practising good values and protecting the environment? The International Value Education Olympiad (IVEO) 2026 invites students to explore moral values, ethics, responsible citizenship and environmental conservation through an engaging combination of learning, an online examination and a practical environmental assignment.
The Olympiad is open to students from Classes V to XII across the world, and registration is free of cost.
What Is the International Value Education Olympiad?
The International Value Education Olympiad is an educational initiative designed to nurture character, ethical thinking, empathy and environmental responsibility among young learners. Organised by ISKCON in association with the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change and Mission LiFE, the programme encourages students to connect the values they learn with meaningful action in everyday life.
The initiative also promotes awareness of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, particularly climate action and environmental sustainability.
Who Can Participate?
Students studying in Classes V to XII.
Students from schools in India and other countries.
Students interested in values, ethics, responsible living and environmental conservation.
Registration fee: Absolutely free.
Languages: English and Hindi.

How to Participate
Step 1: Register Online
Visit the official website and complete the registration form using the required student and school details.

Step 2: Study the Learning Materials
Students should study the prescribed book, Futurethics, and watch the relevant animated learning videos available through the official learning portal.

Step 3: Complete the Environmental Assignment
An important component of the Olympiad is a practical activity titled “Create Seed Balls, Conserve Biodiversity.”
Students are required to:
Make seed balls using the method demonstrated in the official tutorial.
Place or disperse the seed balls safely in suitable locations.
Prepare a PDF report containing three photographs of making seed balls, two geo-tagged photographs of placing or dispersing them, the total number of seed balls created and one follow-up photograph showing germination or growth.
Upload the report through their student login on the official portal.

The assignment carries 40% weightage in the overall result. Participation in the assignment is essential for eligibility for prizes.

Step 4: Appear for the Online Examination
The examination is conducted online and follows a multiple-choice question (MCQ) format.
Duration: 1 hour.
Format: Open-book examination.
Negative marking applies to incorrect answers.
Watching the prescribed learning videos is mandatory.
Students should read the study material carefully and follow the official examination instructions before beginning the test.
Awards and Certificates
The Olympiad offers cash prizes for category winners and overall winners. Students who appear for the examination are eligible to obtain a participation certificate through the portal, subject to the organisers' applicable rules.
Both the examination and the practical assignment are important for students aspiring to win prizes.
