SciQuest Summer Exploration 2026 – National Poster Competition

India’s future depends on young minds that can think creatively, solve real-world problems, and innovate for society. To inspire the next generation of scientists and innovators, the Department of Science and Technology (DST), in collaboration with the National Innovation Foundation (NIF) and MyGov, has launched the SciQuest Summer Exploration – National Poster Competition 2026.

Centered around the exciting theme “Science to Solve Everyday Problems”, this national-level initiative encourages students of Classes VI–VIII to transform scientific ideas into creative visual stories through posters. ✨

Why This Competition Matters

Science is not only about textbooks and laboratories — it is about finding solutions to everyday challenges. From saving water and reducing pollution to improving transportation, health, agriculture, and energy use, science can improve lives in countless ways.

SciQuest Summer Exploration aims to help students:

  • Develop scientific thinking 
  • Build innovation and problem-solving skills 
  • Explore practical applications of science 
  • Discover research and technology interests 
  • Contribute ideas for an innovation-driven India 

The initiative aligns with the vision of Viksit Bharat 2047 and an Atmanirbhar Bharat, where young innovators play a major role in India’s scientific and technological growth.

  • Last Date for Submission: 21 June 2026
  • Time Zone: IST (GMT +5:30)

Competition Theme

 “Science to Solve Everyday Problems”

Participants are encouraged to create posters that showcase how science and technology can address common societal challenges such as:

  • Water conservation 
  • Clean energy 
  • Smart farming 
  • Waste management 
  • Health and hygiene 
  • Pollution control 
  • Sustainable transportation 
  • Robotics and AI for daily life 

The poster should communicate a clear scientific idea with creativity and visual impact.

Submission Guidelines

Students must carefully follow these requirements:

Poster Format

  • Digital posters or scanned hand-drawn posters
  • File Type: JPG or PNG
  • Size: A3 (297 × 420 mm) or equivalent digital resolution
  • Minimum Quality: 300 dpi

Language

  • English or Hindi

Caption

  • Maximum 100 words explaining the poster concept

Originality

  • Artwork must be completely original
  • No plagiarism or copied designs allowed

Submission Platform

  • Posters must be uploaded through the official MyGov Portal along with participant details.

Selection Criteria

Entries will be evaluated based on:

  1. Relevance to the theme
  2. Creativity and originality
  3. Visual presentation and artistic composition
  4. Clarity of message
  5. Ability to engage viewers
  6. Alignment with the vision of Viksit Bharat 2047
