Jointly organised by SIMCC and Southern Illinois University (SIU) , the American Math Olympiad is open to students from elementary, middle, and high school levels worldwide. The competition framework is based on the US Common Core Standards , making it an excellent platform for students to experience globally recognized mathematical assessment standards.

The American Math Olympiad is an international mathematics competition created to:

Eligibility
AMO 2026 is open to students from:
- Grade 2 to Grade 12
- Primary 2 to 6
- Secondary 1 to 4
- Junior College 1 to 2
- International school students
Each grade level receives a differentiated paper suitable for their age and academic level.
