Contest Details
The International Youth Art Contest invites young artists between the ages of 4 and 18 to submit artwork in traditional mediums, such as markers, crayons, colored pencils, and paints. The contest asks participants to choose a species that benefits from conservation efforts, many of which are threatened or endangered. These species are often the focus of IFAW's programs aimed at protecting and conserving wildlife globally.
You may choose to depict your chosen species as an individual animal portrait or within its natural habitat, capturing the beauty and importance of both the species and its environment.

The Theme: “Wildlife Conservation Finance: Investing in People and Planet”
This year's theme underscores the importance of finding financial solutions to protect wildlife. Investing in conservation efforts not only helps protect animals and plants but also supports the communities that rely on healthy ecosystems for their livelihoods. By funding wildlife conservation, we are investing in the well-being of both people and planet.
In your artwork, consider how your chosen species benefits from protected areas, the role of conservation finance, and the ways in which these investments help preserve biodiversity and ecosystems.
