1st International Photography Contest

Green Cross Belarus, supported by the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environmental Protection of Belarus, the Union of Photographers in Belarus, and the Union of Teachers-Artists, invites young photographers worldwide to participate in the 3rd International Photography Competition under the "In My Homeland" project.


Contest Topic: Windows

Windows serve as the theme for this year’s competition, inspiring participants to explore the many dimensions of this everyday element. From a metaphor for life to a symbol of perspective, windows offer endless possibilities for creative interpretation.

Through categories such as Graphics, Landscape, Portrait, Still Life, Street Photo, Black & White Photo, Photo Details, and the new Photo Series (up to 6 works), participants can frame their unique vision of the world through their lens.



Who Can Participate?

  • Open to individuals aged 10 to 18 years.

Submission Guidelines

  1. Technical Requirements:

    • Resolution: At least 2000 pixels on the smaller side.
    • Images must be unedited and free of watermarks or inscriptions.
  2. Originality:

    • Photos must be entirely taken by the participant.
    • AI-generated or duplicate images will not be considered.
  3. Metadata:

    • The jury reserves the right to inspect metadata for authenticity.
  4. File Naming:
    Format: [Nomination][Surname][Photo Number]_[Photo Title/Original Filename].jpg
    Examples:

    • Landscape_Ivanov 1_Autumn morning.jpg
    • Street photo_Ivanov 2_DSC-342.jpg
  5. Submission Process:

    • Upload photos via free file-sharing platforms (e.g., Google Drive, Yandex Disk, Mail.ru).
    • Provide the download link in the registration form.

Submission Deadline

October 1, 2024 – January 15, 2025

Judging and Exhibition

  • A panel of expert photographers and artists will evaluate entries in February 2025.
  • Winners will be announced and featured in:
    • The final exhibition, opening in April 2025.
    • The electronic gallery on the official project website: www.children-art.org.

Participants selected for the final exhibition may need to send their works in paper form, or organizers will handle the printing.

Important Notes

  • Paper submissions for the exhibition will not be returned.
  • Organizers reserve the right to use the submitted works for promotional, educational, and charitable purposes without requiring consent or providing payment.
