ASIAROPE Science Olympiad 2024
The ASIAROPE Olympiad is an international competition in Mathematics, Science, and English Journalism for Primary Levels (Grades 1 to 6), Secondary Levels (Secondary 1 to 4), and Senior Secondary Levels (Grade 11 & 12). It aims to promote excellence and proficiency in Mathematics, Science, Technology, and English Journalism through friendly global competitions and to promote tourism of and for Asia and Europe.
The Organization Behind ASIAROPE
ASIAROPE is organized by the GLOBAL LEAGUE OF WINNERS, INC. (GLOW). It is a duly registered nonstock, nonprofit organization operating in Cebu City, Philippines, with a number of Ambassadors coordinating its promotion and administration. It is also promoted worldwide by partner organizations in different countries.
OLYMPIAD INDIA is a partner of GLOW to promote and conduct ASIAROPE Mathematics and Science Olympiads in India and other Indian Subcontinent countries.
Categories
- Category 1: Kindergarten and Primary 1 (KG and G1)
- Category 2: Primary 2 and 3 (G2 and G3)
- Category 3: Primary 4 and 5 (G4 and G5)
- Category 4: Primary 6 and Secondary 1 (G6 and G7)
- Category 5: Secondary 2 and 3 (G8 and G9)
- Category 6: Secondary 4, Senior Secondary (G10, Grades 11 and 12)
Exam Details
- Total Number of Questions: 30
- Multiple Choice Questions: 30 (3 Points for Each Correct Answer)
- Total Marks: 90
- No Negative Marking for Incorrect Answers
- Test Duration: 90 Minutes
- Restrictions: No calculators or any calculating devices are allowed.
Awards and Recognition
A. National Round
The ASIAROPE Olympiad Awards Committee will recognize participants as follows:
- 78–90 Marks: Diamond Medal & Certificate
- 65–77 Marks: Gold Medal & Certificate
- 52–64 Marks: Silver Medal & Certificate
- Below 52 Marks and Remaining Participants in the Top 60%: Bronze Medal & Certificate
- Top Scorers per Level: Trophy
Lower 40% of participants will receive an Honorable Mention Certificate.
B. Global Round
Participants will be awarded based on the following criteria:
- 78–90 Marks: Diamond Medal & Certificate
- 65–77 Marks: Gold Medal & Certificate
- 52–64 Marks: Silver Medal & Certificate
- Below 52 Marks and Remaining Participants in the Top 60%: Bronze Medal & Certificate
Special Awards:
- Perfect Scorer: Cash Prize
- Champion (Rank 1): Trophy
- First Runner-Up (Rank 2): Trophy
- Second Runner-Up (Rank 3): Trophy
- All Participants: Bag of Souvenirs (T-shirt, pins, keychains, etc.)
