The 9th National Social Enterprise Idea Challenge is now open for registrations! Organized by the Social Enterprise Cell of Azim Premji University, this flagship annual event invites students and young changemakers across the country to explore and share innovative ideas that can create a meaningful impact in society.

What’s the Challenge All About?
The National Social Enterprise Idea Challenge provides a platform for individuals who are passionate about solving real-world problems through innovative and sustainable ideas. Whether it’s education, health, environment, rural development, or financial inclusion—your idea could be the beginning of real change!
How to Register and Submit Your Idea
Follow these steps carefully to ensure a successful submission:
Step 1: Register Yourself
Provide your basic details including:
Full Name
Valid Email ID
Educational Programme
Step 2: Check Your Email
Once registered, you will receive a response email from Azim Premji University with further instructions.
Step 3: Submit Your Idea via Google Form
Open the Google Form linked in the email.
Fill in all the required fields.
Download the provided Word document, complete it with your idea and relevant information, then save it as a PDF.
Upload this PDF in Section 3 of the same Google Form.
Step 4: Confirmation
After submitting your idea, you’ll receive a final confirmation email from the Social Enterprise Cell.
Important: Ensure all information is accurate and complete. Incomplete submissions may not be considered!
Who Can Participate?
Students and aspiring social entrepreneurs from all academic backgrounds are encouraged to apply. If you’ve ever thought, “This small idea could make a big difference,” this is your opportunity to put it to the test!
Student teams must submit their original ideas/enterprise models for consideration. Any venture already initiated by their institutions or by any other group (where students may be team members or volunteers) will NOT be accepted.
Students who are graduating in the current year are also eligible to apply.
Forms will be evaluated based on the proposed model, feasibility of the idea, seriousness of the team to take the idea forward, any pilot intervention done, and team strength in terms of their capabilities.
15 teams will be shortlisted based on the submissions and will be invited to our Bengaluru campus to pitch in front of the jury panel.
The top 3 teams will win prize money worth INR 1.5 lakhs as well as valuable mentorship and networks to take forward their world-changing ideas into social impact organisations.
