1st National Abacus Championship
(A JBWR Contest)
The 1st National Abacus Championship is here! A thrilling competition designed to test and celebrate mathematical brilliance. Open to all, this contest offers participants an incredible platform to showcase their abacus skills, compete for prestigious titles, and earn national recognition.
Eligibility
- Levels: 0 to 8 (Syllabus and sample question papers will be provided).
- Open to schools, abacus academies, tuition centers, and individuals.
Exam Procedure
Initial Exam
- Offline Participants:
- Exams will be conducted at the school, academy, or tuition center premises (minimum 50 participants).
- Online Participants:
- Exams will be conducted online using a one-on-one method. Participants will receive the question paper, and answers must be written with pen and paper.
- Number of Sums: 75 sums to be solved in 5 minutes.
Test Dates:
- Offline: November 15 to December 15, 2024.
- Online: November 16, 23, 30; December 1, 8, 2024.
Terminal Exam
- Offline:
- Date: January 5, 2025 (Sunday).
- Venue: Sirkali, Mayiladuthurai district (to be notified in the third week of December).
- Online:
- Date: January 12, 2025 (Sunday).
- Number of Sums: 75 sums to be solved in 5 minutes.
Awards
- Grand Master (Marks 149–150): Title Certificate, Cross Ribbon, Medal, and Trophy.
- Master of Abacus (Marks 145–148): Title Certificate, Cross Ribbon, Medal, and Trophy.
- Abacus Mastermind (Marks 141–144): Title Certificate, Medal, and Trophy.
- Little Master (Marks 136–140): Title Certificate, Medal, and Trophy.
- Little Champ (Marks 130–135): Title Certificate and Medal.
- Certificate of Honour: Awarded to participants scoring 100–134, along with a Medal.
- All Participants: Receive a Certificate and Medal.
Separate winners will be selected for online and offline participants.
Special Recognition:
Schools or academies with 50+ entries will have level-wise toppers awarded, and the institution or teachers will be honored.
Registration Fees
- Online: ₹500
- Offline: ₹450
World Record Attempt: Abacus Prodigy Contest
Challenge: Solve 200 sums in 10 minutes with maximum accuracy in the least time.
Participation Guidelines
- Choose your level (0–8).
- Receive the syllabus for your chosen level.
- Solve the 200-sum question paper following the competition rules.
Exam Dates
- Offline: January 5, 2025.
- Online: January 12, 2025.
Prizes
- Level Winners: Two winners from each level will receive the Abacus Prodigy Title Certificate, Medal, and Trophy.
- Overall Winners:
- 1st Place: Individual World Record Holder Pack worth ₹10,000.
- 2nd Place: Individual World Record Holder Pack worth ₹7,000.
- 3rd Place: Talent Icon 2024 Award from the Jackhi Book of Talents worth ₹4,000.
All Participants: Receive a JBWR World Record Achievement Certificate (mentioning number of sums and completion time), Medal, and Achievers Trophy.

- Offline: ₹1000
