Dhai Akhar National Level Letter Writing Campaign 2025
The Dhai Akhar National Level Letter Writing Competition 2025–26 is a nationwide initiative that highlights the timeless charm of handwritten communication. Organised annually, the competition invites individuals from across India to express their ideas, emotions, and perspectives through the art of letter writing.
In an era dominated by digital communication, Dhai Akhar encourages participants to slow down, reflect, and find their voice through words written on paper. The campaign underscores the continuing importance of handwriting in nurturing creativity, critical thinking, and emotional expression, particularly among young learners.
Theme
The theme for this year is “Letter to My Role Model”, offering participants the opportunity to pay thoughtful tribute to individuals who inspire them and shape their aspirations. The competition is open to citizens of all ages and can be written in English, Hindi, or any regional language. Entries can be submitted in two categories based on age group and format, ensuring inclusivity for both young writers and adults.
Categories
The Dhai Akhar National Level Letter Writing Competition is open to all citizens of India and is divided into two age groups, each with two formats:
1. Up to 18 years

2. Above 18 years

Participants must write a handwritten letter on the given theme, in English, Hindi, or any regional language, using either A4 paper (max 1000 words) or an Inland Letter Card (max 500 words). Typed entries are not allowed.
Prizes
Winners receive cash awards at both Circle Level and National Level in each category.
Circle Level Prizes

2nd Prize: ₹25,000

There are four categories, so prizes are awarded separately in each category.
How to Submit
Participants must send a handwritten letter addressed to the Chief Postmaster General concerned, using permitted stationery—either an Inland Letter Card or an envelope with stamp affixed for a regular A4 sheet.
