It aims to introduce participants to India’s traditional astronomical instruments, ancient observational methods, and the scientific advancements reflected in the works of scholars from antiquity.
The broader goal of the initiative is to highlight India’s long-standing contributions to astronomy, cosmology, and mathematical sciences. By engaging teachers, mentors, and enthusiasts, the IKS Division hopes to build deeper awareness and appreciation for the scientific traditions developed in ancient India.
