CBSE Storytelling Competition 2025–26

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has announced the CBSE Storytelling Competition for the academic session 2025–26. The competition aims to promote creativity, expression, and communication skills among students through the art of storytelling.

Students are invited to present engaging stories based on topics drawn from their academic subjects, encouraging them to connect classroom learning with imagination and real-life understanding.



Categories of Participation

Students may select one topic from the list provided in Annexure I of the official circular. Storytelling may be done in Hindi or English.

Levels of the Competition

1. School Level (24 October – 6 November 2025)
Schools will organize storytelling competitions for all four categories and select one best entry from each category.
Participants can download an online Certificate of Participation after successful submission on the CBSE Storytelling Web Portal.

2. Regional Level (6 November – 20 November 2025)
The competition will be conducted digitally through the CBSE Storytelling Web Portal. Each CBSE region will select the top 10 entries per category for the National Level.

3. National Level
The shortlisted entries will be evaluated digitally by an expert committee. Winners will receive an Online Merit Certificate via their registered email addresses.

Registration and Submission

  • Registration will be open from 6 November to 20 November 2025.

  • Schools must register their best entries on the CBSE Storytelling Web Portal:
    https://cbseit.in/cbse/web/story/Login.aspx

  • Schools must upload the storytelling videos on YouTube and submit the YouTube link through the web portal.

  • Before uploading, schools must obtain parental consent from students whose videos are being uploaded.

Assessment Criteria

Entries will be evaluated on the basis of:

  • Creativity

  • Fluency

  • Content delivery

  • Coherence

  • Expression

Participation in this competition may also be credited to the student’s portfolio as part of internal assessment.
