AAP Magazine has announced a call for entries for its 52nd printed issue, dedicated to the theme of Street Photography. Photographers from around the world are invited to submit their work capturing the heart and soul of urban life.
The final submission deadline is September 30, 2025, with Early Bird savings available until September 12, 2025.
The Essence of Street Photography
Street photography has long been recognized as a powerful form of visual storytelling. Defined by Encyclopedia Britannica as “a genre that records everyday life in a public place,” it has been practiced since the early days of photography.
From Louis-Jacques-Mandé Daguerre’s historic “View of the Boulevard du Temple” (1838) to the iconic works of Charles Nègre, Eugene Atget, Alfred Stieglitz, Henri Cartier-Bresson, Diane Arbus, Vivian Maier, and many others, the genre has evolved into a celebrated medium for documenting the changing rhythms of city life.
Today, street photography continues to serve as both a popular art form and an essential record of society’s culture, emotions, and transformations.
Submission Guidelines
Photographers are encouraged to submit a cohesive body of work or portfolio that reflects the diverse and dynamic aspects of street life. The subject matter is open-ended, allowing for a wide range of interpretations.

Experimental processes, including monochromatic toning
Awards and Recognition
Winners of the competition will receive:
