Drishya is an annual scene creation competition organised by the Art Journal Foundation (AJF), designed to spark creativity and innovation among young students. Through photography, video art, digital animation, montage, and stop motion, Drishya provides a platform for students to tell powerful visual stories and express complex ideas in imaginative ways.
The Art Journal Foundation, an initiative of Elevating Arts Private Limited, is dedicated to nurturing the process, practice, and education in Arts and Culture. With a vision to inspire creativity, critical investigation, and artistic exploration, AJF aims to be the premier destination for young artists to immerse themselves in the creative process and develop their skills.
Theme for 2025: Disconnected in a Connected World
In today’s digital era, we are surrounded by technology and social media that connect us constantly. Yet many people feel increasingly isolated, unseen, or unheard.
This year’s theme invites participants to explore this contradiction.
-
What does it mean to feel disconnected while being constantly connected?
-
Is it about being lost in screens and ignoring real relationships?
-
Is it about the silence behind constant notifications?
-
Or is it about seeking new ways of authentic connection in the digital world?
Through visual storytelling, participants are encouraged to create scenes that powerfully capture the tension between connection and disconnection, using their chosen medium to evoke emotion, reflection, and deeper understanding.
