Art Journal Foundation Sargam 2025 Singing Competition

Sargam is an annual singing competition organised by the Art Journal Foundation (AJF) that provides young students with a platform to express their creativity, passion, and emotions through music. More than just a contest, Sargam is a celebration of the power of voice and melody to tell stories, spark reflection, and connect people.

The Art Journal Foundation, an initiative of Elevating Arts Private Limited, is dedicated to supporting the process, practice, and education in Arts and Culture. By developing spaces for creativity, critical inquiry, and experimentation, AJF aspires to be the premier destination for young artists to immerse themselves in their craft and grow their skills.

Theme for 2025: Disconnected in a Connected World

We live in a world that seems more connected than ever through phones, social media, and technology. Yet beneath this constant connectivity, many feel lonely, unheard, or unseen.

This year’s theme invites participants to explore this emotional paradox through the medium of song.

  • What does it mean to be connected but feel disconnected?

  • Is it about missing real connections while being glued to screens?

  • Or is it about discovering authentic ways to bond beyond the digital world?

Participants are encouraged to weave their interpretation of this theme into music – through a song that conveys the sense of disconnection or the search for genuine connection in today’s hyperconnected world.
