The Quiz competition is designed to strengthen awareness around water conservation and promote rainwater harvesting and water positive practices. It also aims to inculcate in people a sense of ‘respect’ and responsibility towards their water resources.

Terms and Conditions
The Quiz is being organized by National Water Mission, Department of Water Resources, River Development & Ganga Rejuvenation, Ministry of Jal Shakti, Government of India Participants from all over the world and of all nationalities are eligible to enter the quiz. The quiz will be available for all contestants for the period of 5 minutes [300 seconds], in which they have to answer 10 questions. These questions will based on all aspects of water & rainwater harvesting. These questions will be randomly picked from the question bank The quiz will start as soon as the participant clicks the Start Quiz button. Article Writing Competition on Road Safety


Every year, more than 1,37,000 people die in India as a result of traffic accidents. In 2016, there were over 413 traffic accidents every day in India, resulting in over 1000 deaths. These figures only serve to highlight the significance of road safety measures in our daily lives.
Journalists, even as individuals, have enormous power to facilitate change because they shape public discourse. To honor this change-making capacity, Indian Road Safety Campaign, with the support of the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways extends an invitation to an Article writing competition on road safety in Indian regional languages (Bengali, Marathi, Urdu, Kannada, Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu, Gujarati, Hindi and Oriya).

Objective
The competition is introduced to recognize writers/columnists who have continued to work on the issue of road safety in India and who have brought important stories to the forefront. Furthermore, the activity is being conducted with hopes that the attendees will reflect on contemporary societal concerns concerning road safety and acquaint themselves in order to become better informed and proactive road safety warriors.

Design a Logo for Celebrating Youth Festival



Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav is an initiative of the Government of India to celebrate & commemorate 75 years of progressive India and the glorious history of its people, history, culture, civilization and achievement. This Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav is dedicated to the people of India who have not only been instrumental & involved in bringing India thus far in its revolutionary & transforming journey but also India’s social, cultural, political & economic identity.

India celebrates the birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda on every 12th of January as the ‘National Youth Day’. Commemorating the same, along with the celebration of ‘Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav’, the Ministry of Culture is organizing a ‘logo designing competition’ for the citizens of India. , the logo designing competition aims to catch the ideas of the citizens showcasing the same along with the ‘spirit of the youth’.

The Ministry of Culture invites Citizens from all walks of life to design a logo for Celebrating Youth Festival . The logo should reflect the spirit of Celebrating Youth Festival. The Top 3 selections will suitably be rewarded with prizes.

Online Quiz by Indian Air Force: 50 Years of 1971 War




To commemorate 50th anniversary of India’s victory over Pakistan in 1971, which led to creation of Bangladesh, ‘Swarnim Vijay Varsh’ is being celebrated. The victory epitomises the dedication and selfless sacrifices of the Indian Armed Forces personnel who laid down their lives in protecting the sovereignty of the country. Student Video Contest - World of 7 Billion

Create a short video – up to 60 seconds – about human population growth that highlights one of the following global challenges: Promoting Environmental Justice, Strengthening Global Health, Re-Imagining Industrial Systems.

The Topic for the Contest

Explain how population growth impacts one of the following global challenges and offer an idea for a sustainable solution. The global challenges are: agriculture and food, urbanization, or ocean health.

Narrow Your Focus
Narrow your focus by concentrating on a subtheme within your topic. The strongest videos don’t try to tackle an entire global challenge. Possible subthemes include:

Agriculture and Food – High water use/irrigation; Chemical runoff; Changing diets; Soil health (erosion, desertification, etc); Impacts of climate change (drought, decrease in agricultural productivity, etc.); Habitat loss; Food insecurity; Fossil fuel use
Urbanization – Sprawl; Urban poverty and access to services; Overburdened infrastructure (transportation, sanitation, etc.); Water and air quality; Housing/affordability; Access to green space; Rural-to-urban migration
Ocean Health – Overfishing; Aquaculture; Loss of ocean biodiversity; Impacts of climate change (sea level rise, ocean acidity, etc.); Mangrove destruction; Dying coral reefs; Aquatic pollution

Who can enter?
Any middle or high school student (grade 6-12, or the international equivalent) is free to enter. Students may be located anywhere in the world.

The Contest shall commence on 1st December, 2021 and end on 31st January, 2022.
 To enter the Contest, the Participant shall complete a survey on the Tinkle website and/or App. Upon completion of the survey, the Participant shall receive a coupon code to claim free 1 (one) month subscription to the Tinkle app.
All the Participants are expected to claim their 1-month free Tinkle app subscription code latest by 10th February, 2022. Post 10th February, 2022, all the subscription coupon codes will expire.

Poem Writing Competition on Water Conservation


Jal Shakti Abhiyan – Catch the Rain with the tagline “Catch the Rain- where it falls, when it falls” is a nationwide campaign launched by Sri NARENDRA MODI, Hon’ble Prime Minister of India on 22.03.2021, World Water day to nudge states and stakeholders to create appropriate Rain Water Harvesting structures (RWHS), suitable to the climatic condition and sub soil strata of the area, with people’s active participation.

The campaign was launched to create large scale awareness on water conservation so that “Jal Andolan” becomes a “Jan Andolan”. This campaign covers all rural and urban areas of all districts in the country, making it one of the largest Rain Water Harvesting campaign ever in the world. Apart from maintenance of old and traditional RWHS, creation of new RWHS; preparation of a geo-tagged, GIS based data- base of all water bodies in the country and using it for scientific planning of new RWHS; setting up of Jal Shakti Kendras, a single-window water resource knowledge centre in all district headquarters; afforestation etc are part of this campaign.

National Water Mission (nwm.gov.in), Ministry of Jal Shakti Govt of India is the nodal agency for implementing and monitoring the campaign. JSA: CTR is not just a government programme but a duty of every citizens of India to take up responsibility for water conservation and work towards building up of better future for the country.

National Water Mission, MoJS under “Jal Shakti Abhiyan: Catch the Rain” campaign invites entries for national level poem competition on “Water Conservation” from young children from all over India under the age group of 8 to 16 years to create awareness among the young minds for a better future.
