Aryabhata Ganit Challenge (AGC) 2020


Aryabhata Ganit Challenge (AGC) was initiated by the CBSE to enhance mathematical abilities among students in the year 2019. In order to reach out to maximum students across the country, the Board will host the Aryabhata Ganit Challenge on DIKSHA platform this year.
This challenge shall be available on DIKSHA platform from 12th November 2020 to 25th November 2020. Students from class 8 to 10 irrespective of the Board are eligible to participate in this challenge.

Eligibility Criteria:

Inquisitive is open for all undergraduates and graduates from all streams pursuing/pursued their degrees from any college in India.
Students pursuing/completed their Masters in Management (MBA/PGDM, etc.) are NOT eligible to participate.
Students from any graduation background (Arts, Science, Commerce, etc.) are eligible for participation.

Team Formulation Guidelines:

Students must register individually in order to participate. 
There is no restriction on the number of participants from an Institute.
Any deviation from the above-mentioned guidelines will result in immediate disqualification of the entire team.
Competition Structure and Details

Round 1: First Preliminary Round

All registered participants need to take a 20-minute online quiz at 10 PM on 5th Dec'20.
Every participant will get only one opportunity to take the assessment.
The participant needs to take the assessment through the login that was used for registration.
The participant will be scored on all the questions equally.
Participation certificates to everyone who attempts the test.

Round 2: Second Preliminary Round

All shortlisted participants need to take a 20-minute online quiz with 20 questions at 10 PM on 8th Dec'20.
Every participant will get only one opportunity to take the assessment.
The participant needs to take the assessment through the login that was used to register the team.
The participant will be scored on all the questions equally.
Participation certificates to everyone who attempts the test.

Grand Finale:

The top 10 participants will get a chance to be quizzed by a renowned Quiz Master.
The Grand Finale will be held on 13th Dec'20.
Further details of the Grand Finale will be disclosed after the first and second rounds are complete.

The file must be in .doc/.docx format and the file size must be less than 1 MB.

Language of the Article can be either English or Hindi.
Each submission must have its own Title on the basis of the topic selected.
The body of the submission must be in the format as specified. [Font: Times New Roman / Mangal (For Hindi), Size:12, Line-Spacing: 1.5, Alignment: Justified].
Submission must contain footnotes, wherever required. All footnotes must be in the format as specified. [Font: Times New Roman / Mangal (For Hindi), Size: 10, Line-Spacing: 1.0, Alignment: Justified].
The word limit for the articles is 1200-1500 words.
An article can be co-authored by a maximum of two participants.
The file name of the submission must be as follows:
In case of Single Author – ‘ ’ e.g. Ram Kumar.docx
In case of Co-authors – ‘ & ’ e.g. Ram & Alok.docx
The last page of the submission must include the following information: Name of the Author(s), and the Name of the Institution.
All rights arising from the submissions made by the participants are automatically vested in Editor, Think India.
Non-compliance with either of the guidelines mentioned above will result in an automatic rejection of the submission.
