The "Ek Bharat Shrestha Bharat" Programme,aims to actively enhance interaction between people of diverse cultures living in different States and UT's in India, with the objective of promoting greater mutual understanding amongst them.As per the programme, each year, every State/UT would be paired with another State/UT in India for reciprocal interaction between the people. It is envisaged through this exchange, that the knowledge of the language, culture, traditions and practices of different states will lead to an enhanced understanding and bonding between one another, thereby strengthening the unity & integrity of India. The States & UTs are to embark on a mission to enhance their culture, academic and economic ties by entering into a wide range of mutual engagements with the paired States/UTs covering the spheres of music, drama, cuisine, language, history, tourism and other forms of exchange between the people. As a part of "Ek Bharat Shrestha Bharat " activities, Ministry of Tourism, Government of India is conducting Quiz Competition from 1st January 2020 to 30th June 2020.In these quiz, contestants from each state will be quizzed on respective pairing state & winners will be taken on tour to their respective pairing state as reward.

3. Registration:
The schools willing to participate can register upto 20th January, 2020 through

3.1 Registration Fee (Non-Refundable): Rs. 1000/- per school.
4. Medium: Sculpture / Rangoli / Heritage Craft on the theme.
5. Guidelines for Participation:
5.1. There can be maximum 01 entry / exhibit per category from each school.
5.2. A School Team for an entry / exhibit will be represented by
a. either an individual student or two students, and
b. one mentor Arts teacher.
5.3. The names of the students and the mentor teacher, once registered
online, will not be changed at any stage of the exhibition.
5.4. The school team participating at Regional Level and National Level must
remain the same
5.5. Care should be taken that eco-friendly materials are used in the
preparation of exhibits. Do not use thermacol, plastic, polythene, eatables,
non-biodegradable material and any other non-eco-friendly items.
5.6. The exhibits will be assessed by a team of experts as per the following
criteria:
a. Creativity 20%
b. Originality 30%
c. Technical Skill, Workmanship, Craftsmanship etc. 30%
d. Presentation 20%
The decision of the expert team/judges would be final.
6. The participating school/team will bear all expenses related to participation in the
event.
7. The participating teams will make their own lodging/boarding arrangements at the
venue city of Exhibition.
8. Keypoints related to the conduct of Exhibition:
8.1. The Regional Level of the Art Exhibition will be held in the following cities. The
information regarding the venues will be notified later.

of each category at the National Level.

The much awaited annual event, the hunt for India’s smartest young minds has begun! The 19th Edition of The Hindu Young World Quiz 2020 Competition is all set to challenge the wizards of your school.
The quiz contest will have two categories: Juniors (IV – VI Std) and Seniors (VII – IX Std).
This multi-city, mega quiz, one of the largest in the country is being conducted in many cities across India. The Hindu Young World Quiz will be conducted in the following cities.
Juniors (IV - VI Std) & Seniors (VII - IX Std) : Coimbatore, Madurai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Vizag, Vijayawada, Thiruvananthapuram, Kochi, Chennai, Delhi, Kolkata, Mumbai

The Hindu Young World Quiz 2020 Terms and Conditions
- A team should consist of two members and any bonafide team from a school can take part in the Hindu Young World Quiz by registering online and paying a non-refundable fee of Rs. 200 per team
- The team members should be from the same school/branch. No cross teams allowed.
- The registration would have to be completed 2 days before the schedule of quiz
- The quiz would be two-tiered: Common written preliminaries and an on-stage Final for the Top 6 teams (based on the marks scored in the prelims).
- Prizes (Category-wise)
- * 1st to 3rd .. Trophy + Certificate
- * 4th to 6th .. Consolation Shield + Certificate
- The other audience are eligible for other prizes for every right answer asked to them
- The organiser's decision on any matter pertaining to the quiz would be final and binding. The organisers can amend the eligibility and rules of participation as deemed fit.
- Children of employees' of KSL are not eligibile to participate in the Hindu Young World Quiz.

Global English Language Test (GELT) measures students’ ability to read, write, and use language effectively, through an eclectic mix of carefully selected questions. The test contains three sections, namely Structure, Reading Comprehension, and Writing.
With the ultimate aim to sustain high quality of academics, IFSE Global Inc. encourages all quality conscious schools to participate in time tested tests like Global Mathematical Talent Probe.
KEY TEST FEATURES
GELT measures students’ English language proficiency, and ability to
Express an idea clearly, concisely, and grammatically correct (Section 1: Structure)
Read, understand, and analyze standard written English (Section 2: Reading Comprehension)
Make a logical argument, and communicate effectively (Section 3: Writing)
Threadbare analysis of each student by IFSE experts gives a clear picture of students’ performance when compared against participants from all over the world, and helps you identify areas that need immediate focus.
GELT lays a firm foundation for top scores in reading, primary gateways to higher education anywhere in the world.
GELT is graded according to the age and level of child and can be taken by students of level III to XII.
TEST PATTERN
GELT gives equal weightage to grammar, reading and writing in its three sections.
Reading includes a wide range of topics relevant to the student’s grade.
Common grammar questions include correct/incorrect, word substitution, sentence improvement, and rewriting a given sentence structure along with other grammar based questions.
Writing exercise asks the student to provide an opinion on a general topic. No prior knowledge is necessary.
The duration of the test is 110 minutes. There is not prescribed syllabus for this test. Students are graded against their peers from the same grade.
GRADING SCHEME
The results are declared within 15 days. The students will be assessed and categorized in 6 grades as follows:
“O”: Outstanding“E”: Excellent“V.G.”: Very Good“G”: Good“Av”: Average“N.I.”: Needs Improvement
