British Council Your World Student Competition 2025–26

Are you ready to let your voice be heard on a global platform? The British Council’s Your World Student Competition is now open for the 2025–26 edition — a unique opportunity for students from British Council Partner Schools to showcase creativity, innovation, and leadership while addressing meaningful global issues.

What is the Competition?

The Your World competition is a global video-making challenge inviting students to produce a three-minute social action video that highlights how they and their communities are tackling real-world problems.

 This year’s theme is:

Smarter Choices, Stronger Futures — aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 12 focusing on Responsible Consumption and Production

Students are encouraged to select a Zero-Waste Week Challenge — for example, tackling plastic, food, or e-waste — and creatively demonstrate their approach to sustainability in action.

Who Can Enter?

  • Open to students from British Council Partner Schools around the world

  • Teams of three to five students can participate.

  • Entries require a three-minute video produced by the students.

  • Participation is completely free
