The Federation of Indian Photography (FIP) invites photographers across India to participate in Contest 3 of the FIP Indian Photographer of the Year 2025, an esteemed national photography competition now in its 9th year. This contest is part of a series of three online contests held annually, culminating in the prestigious FIP Indian Photographer of the Year title.

Contest 3 offers photographers a platform to present a story-based photographic portfolio, judged by a distinguished panel of national and international photographers.
Eligibility

Open to anyone residing in India

FIP office bearers, WC committee members, and contest handling personnel are not eligible

An entrant may participate in all three contests separately

Jury’s decision will be final and binding
Submission Requirements

Submit a set of 5 digital images forming a coherent visual story
-
Images must be all colour or all monochrome (no mixing)
-
Images must be the original work of the entrant
-
Major computer-generated graphics are not permitted
-
A Statement of Intent (maximum 50 words) explaining the concept and objective of the portfolio is mandatory
-
No name or ID should appear on the statement
-
Technical details should not be included

Format: JPEG

Colour profile: RGB / sRGB

Maximum size: 1920 px (horizontal) / 1080 px (vertical) at 300 dpi

File size: Not exceeding 2 MB per image
File Naming Format

Serial number followed by image title

Entry Fee

₹300 for FIP Members

₹500 for Non-FIP Members

Payment to be made online only (cash payments not accepted)

Proof of payment must be emailed to the contest coordinator

Entries without full payment will be disqualified
Awards
Each contest carries the following cash prizes:

1st Prize: ₹10,000
-
2nd Prize: ₹7,500
-
3rd Prize: ₹5,000
All first prize winners from the three contests will compete (with the same entry) for the final title of FIP Photographer of the Year, which carries:

Awarded images will be published on the FIP website and in Viewfinder.
