About NFLQ 2025
The National Financial Literacy Quiz (NFLQ) is a national-level competition designed to test students' understanding of financial concepts, securities markets, and economic principles. This year’s quiz promises to be an engaging journey with multiple rounds, including:
- Round 1: Online Quiz
- Round 2: Regional Rounds
- Round 3: Semi-Finals & Grand Finale

Quiz Structure & Rounds
The competition is structured in three exciting rounds, each increasing in complexity and intensity:
Round 1: Online Quiz
- Dates: December 01, 2024 to April 30, 2025
- Format: 40 multiple-choice questions (MCQs) to be completed in 45 minutes.
- Scoring: Each question carries 1, 3, or 4 marks. There is no negative marking.
- Eligibility: Open to both undergraduate and postgraduate students.
- Technical Requirements: Participants must ensure access to a reliable internet connection and a device (smartphone, laptop, desktop, or tablet). The quiz portal supports browsers like Chrome, Firefox, Edge, or Safari.
Round 2: Regional Rounds
- Dates: June to October 2025 (tentatively)
- Locations: Regional hubs in Mumbai, Bengaluru, Kolkata, Indore, Delhi, and Guwahati.
- Qualification: The top 50 UG and 50 PG teams from each region will qualify for the regional rounds. Teams will be selected based on the average score from Round 1 and the number of participants from the respective college.
Round 3: Semi-Finals & Grand Finale
- Dates: November 2025
- Location: NISM Campus, near Mumbai
- Qualification: The top 10 teams (UG and PG) from each region will qualify for the National Rounds.
- Format: The national rounds will include multiple stage rounds and a proctored quiz.
Eligibility Criteria
To participate in the NFLQ 2025, the following eligibility criteria must be met:
- Educational Requirement: Candidates must have completed 10+2 (higher secondary level) education and must currently be enrolled in any undergraduate (UG) or postgraduate (PG) course at a recognized college, university, or institution in India.
- Age Limit: The participant’s age must not exceed 25 years as of December 1, 2024.
- College/Institution Requirement: Only recognized colleges, universities, and institutions are eligible to register for this competition.
Registration Process
Student Registration
Registration for the quiz is free of charge. Students must register through their college/institution. Here's how the registration process works:
- College Registration: Colleges must first register on the official NFLQ portal (nflq.nism.ac.in).
- Student Registration: Once the college is registered, students can either register directly or their college can upload student details.
- Details Required: Students will need to provide their name, gender, email, mobile number, and date of birth during registration.
Resource Persons Registration
Colleges may appoint Resource Persons (RPs) to assist with the registration process. These RPs will need to register through the dedicated NFLQ portal.
