Ramanujan Maths Quiz (RMQ) 2024: A Fun and Challenging Math Journey!
Are you a student looking to challenge your mathematical skills and earn recognition for your performance? The Ramanujan Maths Quiz (RMQ) is back, and it’s the perfect opportunity for students from Class 1 to Class 11 to test their math knowledge, earn exciting medals, and receive valuable feedback to improve their understanding of math concepts.
What is the Ramanujan Maths Quiz (RMQ)?
The Ramanujan Maths Quiz is a nationwide, online mathematics quiz designed to promote a deeper understanding of math among students. With 11 levels to choose from, students can participate based on their current grade/class and progress through a series of tests that help develop their problem-solving abilities. The quiz is named after the legendary mathematician Srinivasa Ramanujan, whose groundbreaking contributions to mathematics continue to inspire students and mathematicians around the world.
Eligibility
The RMQ is open to all students from Class 1 to Class 11. Each student must register for the level corresponding to their current class:
- Class 1 students will enroll in Level 1
- Class 2 students will enroll in Level 2
- and so on, up to Class 11 (Level 11).
Whether you are in Class 1 learning basic arithmetic or in Class 11 tackling complex algebra and calculus, there’s a level tailored for you!
Medals and Recognition
Students who excel in the RMQ will be rewarded for their hard work:
Medals for Excellent Performance: Students who score at least 80% in all tests of a level will earn a Medal for Excellent Performance for that level. This is a great way to showcase your dedication and understanding of mathematical concepts.
Certificate: After completing each level, students will receive a detailed performance report along with a certificate. This feedback will highlight strengths and areas of improvement, providing valuable insights into how students can enhance their math skills further.
Registration
Students can register for the Ramanujan Maths Quiz either through their school or individually. It’s easy to enroll, and the quiz is conducted entirely online, making it accessible to students across the country and even internationally.
- For Indian Students: The registration fee for RMQ is Rs. 400.
- For International Students: Students residing outside of India can register for USD 14.
This registration fee includes a topic-wise performance report, which can serve as a useful tool for improving future performance in mathematics.
Test Format
The Ramanujan Maths Quiz consists of multiple-choice questions that test your mathematical understanding. Here’s what you can expect for each level:
- Level 1: 3 tests with 25 questions each.
- Levels 2-11: 5 tests with 25 questions each.
Time Duration: Each test will have a time limit of 45 minutes, allowing you to work at your own pace but also encouraging focus and efficiency.
Scoring: Each correct answer earns 2 marks, and there is no negative marking for incorrect answers.
Test Frequency
