Open to writers aged 18 years and under, the competition offers a unique opportunity to get published in a global storybook created by and for kids.

Competition Details

Participants are challenged to write a story in 1,500 words or less. The best stories will be published in the GEMA Children’s Story Book, available both in paperback and eBook formats, and distributed in more than 30,000 stores across 150+ countries, including Amazon.

  • Top 20 stories will be published in the official book.
  • Top 50 stories will be featured on the GEMA website.

The last date to register and submit stories is 31 October 2025.

  • Kidzania passes
  • Certificates for all participants

In addition, every participant receives a 1-month story writing course and a certificate, ensuring that all young writers benefit from the experience.

Schools with 50 or more participants will have a School Level Winner, who will receive a Gold Medal, the “Budding Author” course, publication on the GEMA website, and a feature in GEMA’s quarterly newsletter sent to schools worldwide.
