The Never Such Innocence 2025/26 international competition is inviting young songwriters aged 9-18 to take part in their global creative challenge. The theme is "In Someone Else’s Shoes" — so think of someone going through conflict or hardship, and imagine their feelings. Then turn that into a powerful song.
It could be about peace, pain, hope, or resilience. Whoever you imagine, tell their story through music and lyrics.

One song per person/group. You can also enter the art and poetry categories!
🎧 Your song must:

Be no longer than 4 minutes

Be your own original work (no covers or AI-generated songs)

Include a recording (audio or video)
-
Include written lyrics (typed or clearly handwritten)

Can be in any language (just make sure lyrics are included)
Songs will be judged on:

Melody

Composition
-
Originality
-
Lyrics (if there are any)
You’ll still own your song, but Never Such Innocence can share it with the world — and if it earns money, you’ll be paid for it.
