India Energy Week Quiz

India Energy Week is a major event being organised under India’s G20 presidency and the patronage of the Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas, Government of India. To create awareness about this grand initiative, MoPNG invites all the citizens to participate actively and learn about India’s energy sector growth and transition.

The quiz will enable the citizens to understand more about India’s initiatives in the energy sector at domestic and global levels and generate further interest in knowing more through attending India Energy Week from 6th – 8th February 2023.


In this context, Ministry of Petroleum & Natural gas is organising quiz competitions through the MyGov platform.

Design a Lapel pin/Badge for Swachh Sujal Shakti Sammaa

To celebrate women leadership in achieving Swachh and Sujal Gaon under Swachh Bharat Mission (Grameen) and Jal Jeevan Mission, and other national priorities relating to water, the Ministry of Jal Shakti, in association with the Department of Water Resources, River Development and Ganga Rejuvenation, proposes to celebrate women leadership in the water, sanitation and Hygiene (WASH) sector by felicitating the women achievers who have contributed immensely to development of ODF Plus Model, and Har Ghar Jal villages, as well as Water Conservation, River Development etc under the National Flagship programs. A national event “Swachh Sujal Shakti Sammaan” shall be organized on the eve of International Women’s Day, 2023. This forum will bring women representations from the grassroots, speaking about their achievements & contributions in Swachh Bharat Mission (Grameen) and Jal Jeevan Mission, and other efforts contributing to ‘Development & Environment and Climate Sustainability’.

Naming Contest for India Data Management Office (IDMO)

Ministry of Electronics & Information Technology (Meity) has initiated a National Program on AI and one of the components of the program is setting up the "India Data Management Office (IDMO)". The proposed IDMO aims to improve access, quality, and use of public sector data to catalyze data-driven governance, decision-making and create an ecosystem for data-based Innovation and research.

The primary objectives envisioned for IDMO are the following:

Data Governance: Designing data standards, data quality metrics, and associated tools and frameworks to leverage data for innovation and institute mechanisms for data sharing and access that can enable an ecosystem of data-driven governance, research, and innovation. It will enable and build the India Datasets Platform that will process requests and provide access to non- personal and anonymized datasets to Indian / India-based AI- and Data-led researchers and Startups.


Building Data Capacity: To build and augment the capacity of data functionaries within government entities working on data consolidation, management, and sharing activities through sensitization and training.

MeitY is looking for a creative name that is unique, memorable, and reflects the office’s objectives and goals.In this context, MeitY in collaboration with MyGov is organizing a contest for 4 weeks on MyGov platform to find a suitable name for the Data Management Office (DMO) envisioned in the National Program on AI.

The entries received through the contest will have the proposed name and a brief explanation of why contestants think it is a good fit for the data management office.

DST Geo-Spatial Hackathon

Department of Science and Technology in partnership with IIIT Hyderabad and Microsoft is happy to announce the Geospatial Hackathon. A hackathon is to create interest in geospatial tech and specifically build solutions leveraging maps and satellite data for solving India’s problems.

Geospatial Technology is rapidly emerging as one of the most fascinating areas of technological innovation. Geospatial technology describes information that is obtained from images or data that is connected to a specific location, typically captured using sensors mounted on ground/ aerial /satellite-based platform and analysed by powerful computers.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi's monthly radio programme 'Mann Ki Baat' has brought fresh life into the medium of radio, which was rapidly becoming archaic. Experts in the field of mass communication believe that 'Mann Ki Baat' had an important role in keeping radio relevant.

The Mann Ki Baat campaign has had a large impact on the lives of ordinary men and women, whether as a result of a change in behaviour or increased awareness. It will reach its 100th Episode in April 2023.

The “I Matter” poetry contest was launched by a 14-year old student who took action to educate the world about why Black Lives Matter. The contest calls upon students across the country to submit poems on this important topic

The contest is open to residents of the United States, as well as to international students.
