 Calling all young writers with a powerful vision of peace! The Lions International Peace Essay Contest invites visually impaired students ages 11, 12, and 13 to express their thoughts on this year's theme, "Peace Without Limits."

Contest Details:
Eligibility: Visually impaired students aged 11, 12, or 13 on November 15, 2024.
Theme: "Peace Without Limits."
Essay Length: Maximum of 500 words, typed in black ink, double-spaced, and in English.

How to Enter:

About the Youth Climate Conclave
Held under the India-EU Clean Energy and Climate Partnership (CECP), the YCC aims to empower young people across India to become leaders in the fight against climate change. Since 2019, TERI has been organizing this platform, fostering innovation and collaboration among youth to address the most pressing environmental challenges. This year's conclave is organized with support from MoEFCC, GIZ, CEEW, and Climate Fresk.

Capture Wildlife: Enter Mysore Zoo’s 2024 Wildlife Photography Competition!

 Are you a wildlife photography enthusiast? Mysore Zoo is excited to announce its Wildlife Photography Competition and Exhibition as part of the Wildlife Week celebrations, from 2nd to 8th October 2024. Show your love for nature by participating in this thrilling contest, featuring two categories: Ex-Situ Conservation and In-Situ Conservation.

Ex-Situ Conservation: Photos taken within the Sri Chamarajendra Zoological Gardens, Mysore within 12 months prior to 16th September 2024.
In-Situ Conservation: Capture wildlife in its natural habitat. Be sure to specify the location where the photograph was taken.

PCM SCHOLARSHIP EXAMINATION 2024-‘25

The PCM Scholarship Examination offers a platform for students to compete and showcase their knowledge across various subjects. It evaluates scholastic aptitude, mental ability, conceptual clarity, and problem-solving skills, boosting their confidence for future competitive exams.


Examination Pattern
Pre-Primary: LKG: Oral and Activity-Oriented Test with picture support. UKG: Identification and Colouring Test with picture suppor
Classes I to V: Written test.
The examination duration for all classes is 90 minutes. All registered candidates will appear for the final examination.
Eligibility
English medium schools in Kerala following any Board of Examination syllabus can enrol students in LKG, UKG, and Classes 1 to 5. Separate examinations will be conducted for each class. Enrolment of candidates less than 20 numbers from pre-primary and less than 20 numbers from classes 1 to 5 from a school will not be accepted.
Examination Centres
Participating schools will serve as examination centres for their students. External invigilators will be appointed and honorarium will be paid to them directly by us. Schools are requested to provide necessary support and facilities.

The examination fee is Rs. 150 per candidate.

After the phenomenal success of Season 2, What’s Your High? Season 3 is all set to take the road. This time, Popkon Creatives is joining hands with Finesse Thrissur Titans, one of the most promising teams in the upcoming Kerala Cricket League. The Indian Debating League (IDL)

As the Official Hosts for Cambridge School and Oxford Union Debates for Indian High school students, The Indian Debating League (IDL) nurtures India's best minds on regional, national, and international matters. With International wins at Harvard, Yale, Oxford Union, and LSE this year, the Indian Debating League 4.0 is set to make history by uniting 1 million debaters from 100 cities across the country. With unparalleled reach and impact, we aim to foster intellectual exchange, empower voices, and cultivate the next generation of leaders.


This year, the theme is "Ethics in the Changing Global Order: India Leading the Way." One of the world's oldest civilisations, India is now steering ethical leadership in a rapidly evolving global order. Amid technological disruptions and geopolitical shifts, India is uniquely positioned to lead with its values of dharma (righteousness) and seva (selfless service).

Aqua Regia 2024 - The Ultimate All - India Inter - School Quiz Challenge!

Aqua Regia, the prestigious All-India Inter-School Quiz Challenge, is making a grand return! Since its inception in 2006, this event has seen the participation of over 26 lakh students across India.

This year, it expands its reach to test student’s General Knowledge on a nationwide scale, covering more than 50 cities.

Date: Friday, 06th September 2024, Time: 09:00 AM to 02:00 PM

Venue: F-Block, Bharathiar Hall, Hindusthan College of Arts & Science, Coimbatore.

SOLART Painting Competition: Unleashing Creativity for a Greener Future!

The Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE) is proud to announce SOLART, an All-India intra-school painting competition aimed at promoting solar energy and environmental awareness among school students. As part of MNRE’s efforts to foster a clean and green environment, SOLART is designed to inspire creativity while educating students about the immense benefits of solar energy.


Why Participate?

SOLART’s mission is to encourage young minds to become champions of sustainability. Through this competition, students will have the opportunity to express their vision of a greener future using solar energy, while also developing an early appreciation for environmental stewardship.

Who Can Participate?

The competition is open to all school students from Class 3rd to Class 8th, with two categories:

  • Group 1: Class 3rd to Class 5th
  • Group 2: Class 6th to Class 8th

Each school will select three students from each category to represent them, and only uploaded entries will be considered for the final competition.

Key Dates to Remember:

  • Start Date: 5th July 2024
  • Submission Deadline: 11th November 2024
  • Winner Certificate Distribution: 14th November 2024
  • International Solar Conference Facilitation: 5th-6th September 2024

Judging Criteria

All submissions will be evaluated based on the following three main criteria:

  1. Understanding of the Topic: Does the artwork show a clear understanding of the importance of solar energy?
  2. Creativity: Is the artwork unique, impactful, and innovative?
  3. Visual Appeal: Does the painting effectively capture the viewer’s attention with its artistic elements?

Awards and Recognition

  • Top three students from each category will receive a Certificate of Excellence from the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy.
  • Additionally, all uploaded paintings will be entered into a lucky draw, with three students selected from each category for a special prize: an all-paid trip to Delhi to attend the International Solar Conference on 2nd September 2024. Selected students can bring their parents for an unforgettable experience (1 student + 2 parents).

Important Note: The trip is non-transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash. Participation in the conference requires consent from both the school and the parents.

How to Participate

Participating schools must upload the selected entries on the official competition portal. Make sure to submit your painting before the deadline on 11th November 2024!
