The 32nd Fashion ZAKKA Design Competition

The 32nd Fashion ZAKKA Design Competition is designed to reward the best and excellent designs through screenings of approximately 3,000 entries every year.  Professionals with an established presence who have been active in the fashion-related business forefront will be judging your passion for designs. Furthermore, this year, a new category has been introduced to this time-honored competition which has been going on for more than 30 years. Apply now and be an epoch of new Fashion ZAKKA era! Divisions & Categories :

Genuine Leather Division :

1 Shoes

2 Bags

3 Belts & Suspenders

4 Small leather items

5 Leather Innovation

Fabric Division:

6 Hats

※Genuine leather should be used as the main fabric.

※Entry is open to all apparel criteria, irrespective of Men’s and Ladies.

※Examples of small leather items are wallet, purse, pencil pouch, card holder, and other items you put something in, or items used to hold/contain something.

□Leather Innovation Category

This new category has been established to offer a prize to the best, innovative cutting edge idea that goes beyond the framework of categories listed above. If your design can not be categorized into either category but meets certain criteria stated below, you are welcome to apply for this new category.

The design of innovative leather item should meet requirements below;

1.Genuine leather should be used as the main fabric.

2.Design for the leather ZAKKA item does not fit to above-mentioned categories.

3.Wide distribution channels are available for promotions of the item designed.

■Application Requirement:

Entry is available to all who are interested in ZAKKA design, irrespective of professionals and amateurs.

Entry Period:

Wednesday, September 1, 2021 ～Thursday, September 30, 2021, 23:59 JST

Entry Method:

By the entry form found on the website below within the entry period.

Prizes:

Grand Prize

Selected from among all entries and rewarded to a single design. The winner will receive a prize of 200,000JPY.

Best Design Prize

Rewarded to one design per category. The winners will receive a prize of  50,000JPY.

The category with Grand Prize winner will fall outside this prize.

Judge’s Prize

Selected from among awarded entries, and every single judge selects one design to be rewarded. Judge representing Matsuya-Ginza will be excluded from the judges’ list.

Matsuya-Ginza Prize

Selected from among all entries and rewarded to design selected by a buyer representing Matsuya-Ginza. Entitled to merchandise right under assumption of sales at Matsuya Ginza.

Outstanding Design Prize

Rewarded to 3 designs per category. The winners will receive a prize of  10,000JPY.
