Yale Young Global Scholars: Inspired Minds, Global Connections

The Yale Young Global Scholars (YYGS) program is now accepting applications for its Summer 2025 sessions! Each year, high school students from over 150 countries and all 50 U.S. states come together at Yale University to engage in interdisciplinary, intensive learning sessions. Here’s your chance to be a part of this enriching global community.

Program Highlights

• Location: Yale’s historic campus in New Haven, Connecticut.

• Duration: Each session spans two weeks, with residential offerings in June, July, and August 2025.

• Global Reach: Connect with peers from diverse cultural and academic backgrounds.

• Interdisciplinary Learning: Choose from a variety of thought-provoking themes:

  • Innovations in Science & Technology (IST)

  • Literature, Philosophy, & Culture (LPC)

  • Politics, Law, & Economics (PLE)

Summer 2025 Sessions

• Session I (June 22 – July 4)

  • IST I, LPC I, PLE I, SGC I

• Session II (July 6 – July 18)

  • IST II, LPC II, PLE II, SGC II

• Session III (July 20 – August 1)

  • IST III, LPC III, PLE III, SGC III

Eligibility Criteria

To apply for YYGS 2025, you must meet the following requirements:

• Age: Be 16-18 years old by July 20, 2025 (the first day of Session III).

• English Proficiency: Demonstrate fluency in English to participate in the rigorous academic curriculum.

• Grade Level: Be a current high school sophomore or junior (or international equivalent).

• Graduation Date: Graduate in May/June 2026 or 2027 (Northern Hemisphere) or Nov./Dec. 2025 or 2026 (Southern Hemisphere).

• First-Time Participant: Applicants must not have participated in a YYGS session in previous years.

YYGS accepts applications from ALL countries, and offers the opportunity for students to apply for need-based financial aid to students from ALL countries.

• Application Fee: $90 USD (fee waivers available for eligible applicants).
