The 2025 World Handwriting Contest is officially open for entries, and this is your chance to showcase your handwriting talents to the world! Whether you're a child, teen, adult, or senior, this global contest welcomes participants of all ages from around the world. Important Dates to Remember:

• Entry Deadline (Online): June 30, 2025 (All electronic submissions must be sent by this date)
• Entry Deadline (Mailed Entries): June 30, 2025 (Mailed entries must be postmarked by this date and must be delivered by July 14, 2025)

Who Can Enter? Anyone from anywhere in the world can participate, regardless of age! The contest is divided into five age categories:

1. Children (age 7 and under)
2. Pre-Teens (ages 8 through 12)
3. Teens (ages 13 through 19)
4. Adults (ages 20 through 64)
5. Seniors (ages 65 and over)

Categories of Handwriting: Within each age group, there are two subcategories for judging:

• Functional Handwriting: Focuses on legibility, speed, and fluency, without aiming for artistic effects. This category is further divided into:
  • Cursive: Joins 50% or more of the letters.
  • Manuscript Printing: Joins fewer than half of the letters.
• Artistic Handwriting: Features decorative strokes, flourishes, shading, and more, creating a beautiful, artistic effect.

How to Enter:

For Ages 13 – Adult

Necessary in every age, handwriting remains just as vital to the enduring saga of civilization as our next breath.

Entry Specifications:

• Use black ink only on 8 1/2 x 11 inches or A4-sized paper.
• Use writing instruments such as ballpoint pens, fountain pens, or calligraphy pens.
• Write on the front side of one sheet of paper, allowing a 1/2-inch margin on all sides.
• No decorations or preprinted pictures.

• School name and details (if applicable)

1. Submission Methods: You can submit your entry either online or by mail:

   • Online: Submit a scanned image of your writing sample (at 600 dpi or higher) in gif, jpg, jpeg, png, or pdf format.
   • By Mail: Mailed entries must be postmarked by June 30, 2025 and delivered by July 14, 2025.

Judging & Awards: The contest judges will evaluate your entries from July to September. Winners will be awarded first and second prizes in each handwriting category. The names and writing samples of the winners will be showcased on the contest website and social media for an entire year!

Prize Categories:

• First and second prizes will be awarded in each category, and winners will receive worldwide recognition for their outstanding handwriting skills.

Important Notes:

• Please submit your best work! If you make a mistake, start over. Entries with visible errors like erasures or cross-outs will not be accepted.
• Remember, no preprinted pictures or decorations—just pure handwriting!
